I wouldn't really care and it's not so far-fetched that I wouldn't notice; I frequently miss things not relevant to the matter at hand.
Think about it from a selfish male perspective:

I agree. For me the main point is that the physical issues will continue unchanged regardless of whether or not the person has fun and enjoys life. So the person may as well go ahead and enjoy life.

I lost my right testicle several years back due to a bad flu. I had the option to go back for an implant, didn't do it because my wife said I looked fine without it. In the past I've had pics in my gallery and nobody ever said anything.
I lost my right one almost two years ago to cancer. It doesn't bother me much, everything still works and keeps me and others happy so I don't see any reason to worry about it.
