I recently got a prince albert.

It hurts just as much, or just as little as a regular piercing.
Some people say it hurts more, but thats just a mental thing.

Make sure you want a piece of metal on your dick at all times before you get it done.

OK back to the subject. I have a Prince Albert. It hurt for a nano second when I had it done. Also very sensitive to morning wood for a few days. You need to take a complete break from any kind of sex for 30 days (including j/o) for initial healing. Drink lots of water so you urinate frequently... that helps the healing process. I also soaked mine in a water and sea salt solution twice a day for a month. A good piercer will give you all the instructions for healing without complications.
 
It takes a bit of getting used to urinating at first because it's like a sprinkler. If you get a curved barbell and move the ball on top of the piercing it helps abate the problem. Standing at urinals is the easiest. It does not get in the way of any sexual activity it only enhances it in my opinion. I had a few partners who did not like it and insisted I take it out. I like piercings and I have had my nipples pierced for a long time. I still wonder about a PA. One thing I do wonder about is a frenum piercing. I believe this is the most sensitive part of the penis and some would argur piercing it will improve the sensations but I dont see that, anyone got any views on the subject? .......... could you enlighten me beaver?
 
It hurts, just not as badl as everyone thinks. I tried a frenum piercing years ago and did not like it. It just seemed to get in the way of my hand for j/o. I have had my PA now for over 5 years and love it. Every guy is different but for me the PA is the way to go.
