in my euclidean world 5.75 is about 1.8" circumference. not 2.25 which is a ravishing and rarely seen offline 7"

Go to Boston Pumpworks for a real pump as rikter and others have said you need to have a solid routine and be dedicated.
You also need to have decent equipement.
