I heard he had gone into an argument with the gay photographer who did this. Sounds like Pierre was uncomfortable for the ‘creativity’ of the shoot and wasn’t aligned with releasing these. IMO, Pierre seems like another straight guy getting the benefit of gay attention, but still uncomfortable with that attention might make him look gay. Not something I’ll vibe with.
