He’s still handsome.

That said, I wonder if he even used SPF frequently? Sun damage rapidly causes aging skin.

Every morning, I apply a face moisturizer with SPF in it.
I think he talks about never using Suncreen on video somewhere.

He admitted on a recent video that he doesn't use sunscreen and I lost some respect for him. He said he thinks sunscreen isn't necessary because we were meant to be outside and enjoy the sun. For a PhD holder you'd think he would would defer to the research which is quite definitive about how beneficial and necessary sunscreen is - not just in preventing the signs of aging but also in preventing CANCER.

Anyway, his body his choice but no big surprise why he seems to be aging quickly.

Thanks for shedding some light on this.

So does he have a girlfriend or something?

Did he not make it as a PhD or made it successfully as a model, fitness trainer or entrepreneur?

Sorry I don't mean to be a prude here but last I've known him is being someone like Dr.Mike so I could still not wrap my head around his OF.

Again, not complaining but I wasn't able to follow his career since being viral more than 10 years ago as the hot teaching assistant or math PhD for that matter.
He probably makes more money off of his OF than as a professor.

He tried breaking into the modeling industry (which places an extremely heavy emphasis on looks) and thought it best to forgo sunscreen?

………Like, what??? :emoji_frowning:

He's got a PhD in mechanical engineering, not anything relating to biology. Other than that he's spent his time around professional athletes and the model industry, and then loads of incredibly rich gay men - not groups necessarily known for being particularly science-forward... but often known for unhinged takes on medical science.

He did do a web documentary that touched on some of this stuff, but for example he managed to get confused between amino acids and proteins

and he interviewed the charlatan Aubrey de Grey and the billionaire lunatic Christian Angermayer about how we're going to totally defeat aging in about 15 years using biotech, and people will become death-libertarians and decide when they want to die even if that's at 500 years old. I suspect that often being the smartest person in the room at a runway show or on a billionaire's yacht went to his head a bit.

There's an irony that he's talking about being careful not to use "chemicals" on because you skin will "eat" them, and how his only skincare is jojoba oil mixed with essential oils, and how he's not wearing and products or using a filter.... but he's clearly slathered on the concealer under his eyes. The idea that sun doesn't age you because "we're not underground creatures" but a moisturiser might is... concerning. He obviously picked up a bit on the fear mongering about aluminium hydroxide - let's hope he sticks to his art and OnlyFans, and doesn't start preaching that you can cure cancer with an alkalising diet to decalcify your pineal gland instead of taking chemo.

Parfait ?

OK thanks.

I do use it if I'm outside for more than an hour or so. Usually indoors and my island is cloudy !
If you add a zero to the spf number it gives you an indication of how long you can stay in the sun without burning. In this case it would be 500 minutes.

I harboured the faint hope that he wouldn't be a prototypical pseudo-scientific shallow narcissist very common in social media these days BUT YES... Here we are.
