I remember Max Emerson talking about stuffing a slice of bread in there to avoid vpl for shoots.
I guess it depends on the aim of the shoot if you want to use something like that.

It would only be embarrassing if you claim it as real in a "real" scenario and then the other finds out it's all stuffing. If it's in a professional setting and everyone is aware of it being used than I don't see why it would be.
