He was cut when he first started and he looked incredible and still had a phatty.
I don't think he was necessarily "cut"... he was just younger and hadn't put on weight or muscle mass yet. He lost a lot of that babyface and babyfat because he got deeper into his twenties and started lifting and bulking.
