As far as the 'reduced to body parts' I don't buy that. Straight porn gets right to the action, while gay porn tries to develop some sad, artificial, strained plot.

"Disgusting" or not, it is over-emphasized by gay porn. According to most sex surveys I've seen, only about a quarter of gay men have done it, but apparently 90% of gay porn stars do it every time they're on camera.

Please keep in mind that anal sex is not a gay thing -- it's a sexual thing. Entire movie studios have been built on the straight anal sex fetish, for example. And while it may not be my motivating factor in having sex with guys, I'm not going to say it's overemphasized in any porn genre, because that would be according to who? Me. And what difference does my opinion make on someone else's sexual habits? Zero.

Yeah, I've read those surveys, but I'm wondering where they find their subjects. Personally, I don't know a sexually active gay man who has not at least once tried anal sex, active, passive or both. I'm sure there are some that exist, but 75%? I find that hard to believe.
