Practicing Nudists

I've been a nudist for more than half my life. Nude hikes and walks, nude swimming, nude beaches, etc.

Would be interesting to know how many members are practicing nudists. What do you like about it? How have you benefited from it? Are you a "solo" nudist or is your spouse or other members of your family nudists? What are your favorite nudist places/events/etc.

Looking forward to hearing from other nudists and sharing stories!

Count me in as an inveterate nudist. Nude most of the time. Just like the way it feels so natural. No other nudists in my family, but they don't have a problem with my being a nudist. My favorite hangout for hanging out is: Welcome to Orient Land Trust

Yes i've been going nude outdoors for a couple of years now, just visit a few areas and beaches around the UK in the summer months solo, maybe will look to visit some locations abroad in the future, as a couple with a partner.

Nudist couple near. Caliente in Land o Lakes and Haulover in Miami. Otherwise we sail to deserted beaches in our area sometime with friends. All of our friends know we are nudists and are cool with it. Sometimes they join in.

bartonside - Maybe 1-2% of the male nudists I've encountered were not concerned about erections. It's one of the most common concerns about nudism. Unfortunately it sometimes prevents people from trying nudism. Here are some of my thoughts and experiences on the matter: 1) Different beaches/venues and the people who frequent them have different views on the matter. Family-oriented venues, especially those which allow children, frown on public erections and in my view, quite rightly so. If you're going to a family-friendly nudist venue, it's best to take a towel to cover up and/or excuse yourself if you begin to get erect. Other venues/beaches, those where there are no children are less concerned about the matter. 2) Erections happen. They're natural, men get them. It's important to understand that an erection can happen even in non-sexual situations. I get spontaneous erections from heat. I get them in the shower, in hot tubs in steam rooms and saunas and sometimes even on the nude beach. It doesn't mean I want to go after the next person that walks by. In my nude beach experience I am not alone in this. Almost every time I go to the nude beach I see one or 2 non-sexual erections and I usually get one or 2 at some point. I'd estimate that about 2/3 of the nudist men I've talked to about this also get erections at some point while practicing nudism. If you're very concerned about it, there are a number of ways you can deal with them: 1) roll over on your stomach until it goes away; 2) take a towel or sarong and cover up until it subsides; 3) ignore it, chances are others are ignoring it too; 4) get yourself a nudist community, even if it's just online at the start (maybe you're a home nudist and need some encouragement to go public), and a few good nudist mates with whom you can openly talk about this. Realizing you're not the only one concerned about it and knowing there are others who have experienced your concerns and know ways of addressing those concerns is incredibly helpful.

I love being nude but have a hard time finding a place as a single man. I guess it threatens people. I would love to hear of some places close to Ohio and maybe private events where I could share the experience with others.

I've been a practicing nudist and AANR member for about 15 years. Absolutely love the nude beach and spend plenty of time in the backyard gardening nude and of course catching some rays. It's 8:20 pm and yes, I am nude.:wink:

I've been a practicing nudist since I was about 25 or so. I'm naked at home all the time. And while there are gay nudist groups in Atlanta (I've only been to one summer function) I haven't really met another nudist. I've even put a post on CL looking to meet other nudist guys to just meet and hang out with. Come over, watch a ball game or movie, beer and pizza but naked. No one's taken me up on it.

I once tried a nudist beach when I was young. Bad experience I had.
So since then I havent visited any beaches. Not even not nudist types.

It was very embarressing and hurted me so much. Still have bad effects on me.
(Some of the nudist was laughin at my size)

Somehow Im thinkin about to go to the nude beach . (In this summer Ive visited one and it was great. Ive even played some waterpolo game with others - but still got the bad feeling cause of the size-insecurity...)

At home, and outdoors - normally confined to beaches, but love wild swimming (rivers, lakes, tarns), walking and have gone rock climbing naked.

No friends or family share this habit - that I'm aware of.

That looks fabulous, I see that nudity is not compulsory, what happens in practice, nude in pool and clothed elsewhere? Nude everywhere?
