Pro tennis players

Oh God.

His shoulders bad. He's had to retire. He was crying. I felt sorry for him. He's usually so boastful.
And he's unfortunately out of the competition. It's so sad to see the players having to give up due to an injury.

Despite my clear fancying him I actually admire the guy so much as a sportsman. Genuinely upset but he will continue to do well.

Hopefully his shoulder heals after saying to his dad it was the "worst pain Ive ever felt."

Thats awful. He needed medical attention not an interview. He clearly wanted to cry. He's only young.
Clearly an unpopular opinion on here, but he has a shoulder/arm injury, they're unlikely to do anything about it other than rest and painkillers for at least 24 hours, sitting in a press conference for 5 minutes will have zero effect on his recovery prospects.

Tennis players earn huge money, the media play a big part in generating the attention which allows them to earn that money. Players who for instance have collapsed on court or are experiencing serious mental anguish can skip press conferences, but being sad after a defeat is not a reason to be able to miss media obligations.
