He can do better than Ryan Murphy and his cliche one dimensional characters. What's Rafael going to do? Play a gay character his entire career?

Fair enough, I agree he should branch out in terms of characters and avoid the usual gay typecast. That ain't a popular stance on lpsg btw but I'm tired of gay actors pigeon holing themselves with just gay roles. Boring!
Honestly. If the only role you can play is a gay role then it's not really 'acting' at this point. I think Rafael should perhaps try being in a horror movie or even a guest actor on a soap. Not big roles but to build up his resume. Right now his IMDB page is really light. Any guest roles at this point.

hopefully he gets more jobs soon, I think people will go crazy for him if he became popular
I notice that no one really talks about network TV any more on social media, even if certain shows have decent ratings.
Whereas even cable and streaming that might not be big hits generate social media chatter.
911 Lone Star will either go for another two or three seasons or Rafa might get bored and move on to other things.

I want to see him as an action star. He’s in great shape and would be fun in something like Abduction.
I hope so because his friends (co workers) are pushing themselves into different departments in the industry.
I’ve read one of Rafael’s interviews about him wanting to be a director, but he says he doesn’t have time. But Ronen became a musician, Natasha literally remodeled her house, Brian is doing move roles. And Jules is doing other shows and his rap career. Rafael is really making excuses at this point.
Wait how do you know he’s jealous of Rafael? I understand Ronen being jealous of Oliver stark and Ryan Guzman, but Rafael?
In my opinion. Ronen became "bi" when he saw that the fans were giving Rafael all the attention - when Ronen was suppose to be in the one in the main cast.

Why? He's currently playing a gay cop, why can't he play idk, a gay murderer, a gay doctor, a gay accountant, if the role arises?
No one tells straight actors who only play heterosexual characters (in different occupations and with different character traits) that they're only "playing straight roles".

A big part of it is because of how gay roles are done. thankfully it's been changing through the years but gay roles tend to be gay first and then whatever the character's occupation or role is second which is the opposite for most (definitely not all) straight roles sadly.
it's changing though and I'm excited to see gay action heroes and final boys and fantasy etc where they're gay and it's a definite and clear part of his character but not the primary aspect of their story arc
