New Zealand’s race to eliminate the virus
A week ago, New Zealand was an exemplar for how swift and decisive action can stifle the spread of the coronavirus. But the emergence this week of a cluster of cases has caught the nation by surprise, and is a blow to the government’s strategy to eliminate the virus. Never understand the concept of a snooze button on an alarm clock. If you have to get up at a certain time, say 6 AM, and you hit the snooze then won't you be late if you go back to sleep for ten more minutes? But if you realize that you won't be late because you have an extra ten minutes then why not set your alarm for 6:10 every day. Maybe they should just rename it "For the lazy ass who doesn't want to get out of bed and is looking for any excuse button". Which I guess would actually make it perfect for me. Then again, since most cell phone dependent people likely use that device as an alarm, it's kind of a moot point anyway.
