Just my personal opinion here. The only thing the guy did wrong was not telling you that he didn't find your face attractive. We like what we like and there's no reason to be dishonest about it. I give honest feedback to the guys who message me on grindr all the time and 99.9% of the time I'm met with a positive response back. The only people I ignore are the ones that introduce themselves with a hole pic or them being fucked by some random guy etc. You can be kind abd honest at the same time.

What hurt me was that as soon as I sent the face picture he asked for, he stopped responding to my messages : I'd told him I was nothing special to look at and not to get his hopes up. As someone who doesn't rate his own looks, when someone who's been telling you how sexy you are, stops talking to you as soon as they see your face, it's obvious what conclusion you reach! And that conclusion is reinforced when, despite his excuse for not talking to me, he was still coming on here viewing other profiles and leaving the kind of comments he left on mine, but ignoring any messages I'd sent him. Is he still coming on here, doing the same to other people as he did to me? I don't know - once he stopped talking to me, he changed his profile settings so it wouldn't say when he was last online. But I find it very hard to believe that he would go from coming on here anything up to four times a day, at times varying from as early as 6:00 in morning to as late as 2:00 in the morning (even though he gave me the impression his bedtime was about 11:00pm), to not coming on here at all! In the last few weeks, he has looked at my profile twice which suggests he still has SOME interest in me, but not enough interest to respond to my last message.
My mistake is that when I feel horny and want some visual stimulation, I watch the videos he sent me and hear all the affirming things he said, and I forget how shitty he made me feel when he ignored me for a over a week being coming up with his lame excuse. I've told him that if he doesn't want to talk anymore, just send me a message saying as much and I'll respect that. But he hasn't, and so that's just left me hanging, hoping that sometime he'll get back in touch (though at this stage, I doubt it).
I don't want revenge - if I did, I would've named him here, as a warning to others; I just want a proper explanation, and - if it's what he wants - a proper conclusion.

I'd say my face is nicer than my body but some people might think the opposite. Some people might be in love with me while others are disgusted by me. It's okay for people to have opinions. If he did anything shitty it was just not telling you the truth about how he felt. There's no rating system for faces or bodies. So many times I've been told by a guy that he's ugly but when I see him he's not at all. Same goes in reverse sometimes of course. Sounds like you invested more emotionally than you should have with a stranger.

I 100% agree, but I have my reasons why and I've told him as much. Truth be told, if you'd been on the receiving of his honeyed words, you would probably have got just as emotionally invested.

I've never thought much of my looks, and since no guy in the real world has ever given me any indication to the contrary, I have this idea that I must be Quasimodo's less attractive brother!
