So I found myself remembering a particular birthday with an ex randomly while driving yesterday. No idea why but it made me reminisce about the past and curious about how an ex’s life has ‘turned out’.

I’m quite a nostalgic person anyways so maybe that’s why I look back on past experiences but I’m curious if women are similar. Do you find yourself reminiscing about experiences with ex’s.

Life is trial and error, so yes, I spend time thinking back. And I keep tabs on my former BFs - I've invested time and feelings in them, so I keep them around - still sharing life with them

Pretty big signs of emotional maturity here :)

I think everyone likes to think back to good experiences etc, I like to think about when I was a kid having fun with my sisters playing games, birthdays, Christmas times etc.
I don't tend to dwell much on past relationships tho, I've had way too many guys in my life that turned out either to be dead beats or just plain losers.
In general I'm more of a live for the moment type of person tbh, I have a fantastic husband and family now and that's what matters most to me X

I try not to live in the land of Woulda Coulda Shoulda. It can make you crazy.

Just last year I got a text message from a past lover saying he was passing through from Orlando and wanted to know if my husband and I were free for dinner one evening.

He is the one who got away. We were so serious we were about to set a date. Then he got a promotion and moved to New York. I knew better than to try a long distance relationship, so we said "we'll see." We'll see didn't work out.

I was very up front with hubby about everything. He declined going to dinner, so I told my friend I could meet him for lunch.

It was a wonderful PLATONIC reunion. But I have to say my heart fluttered when I saw him again, and I had to play grown up real quick.

Still it was a wonderful time walking down memory lane and catching up. He has a beautiful wife and children. I'm very happy for him, and he said he was for me.

What really freaked me out was later that afternoon on my way home from work the radio played The Moody Blues Your Wildest Dreams.

Almost every night before full moon, I look up and wish my ex well.
We got together in that moon phase one May. We called it our lunaversary.

others, less serious, but good, flit across my mind. Ghosts now. Because I couldn’t go back to one.

Thanks all - appreciate you taking the time to respond.

Ellie reading yours reminded me of a similar situation albeit some lust still kicking about (I was single at the time). So that was another trip down memory lane.

TnJ - enjoyed the blog reads - I hope you are doing well and have never been added to another prostitute list! I liked your evolution post - resonates with me.
