This is a tradition that cannot be broken. It's a thing that could be right because it's existing. It will be forever like this. Hookers and models and photographers. They're all alike. Clinging into that vortex. No more escaping that's for sure.

I agree with you 110% about the Agencies arranging shoots for models. Absolutely correct! Having said that (and meaning absolutely no disrespect what-so-ever to Rick Day at all) Rick has been around for a while and everybody and anybody who knows anything about the MALE modeling world (not just NYC!!) knows of Rick Day and what he is like - fantastic/excellent/brilliant photographer who just so happens to be gay, knows what he likes and gets major, impressive results! It is very true - he can make you an instant success overnight - or, conversely, destroy you overnight. His reputation precedes him. (And no, a reputation should not under any circumstances be a license to do freely as one wishes but.....hey.....let's get real here. We all know it happens!) So if an Agency purposefully places a "new" or "up-and-coming" model with Rick......the sky is the limit for this new model - and the Agency knows it! It's being done purposefully by the Agency to push the model to the top (usually instantly!) - and they know FULL-WELL what they are doing and who they are doing it with - unless of course they just arrived from Mars. Not!! And please don't start in on me as if I am condoning anything ill/wrong happening during a photo shoot. Not! Far from it. Professionalism is professionalism. DUH! But let's be mature adults here - we all know what happens, why it happens and what the end result is. Come on people - think about it - if you think for even half a second that the top male models in the world have always kept their clothes on and never had their dicks played with or sucked or jerked off by a photographer then you are VERY naive indeed. Happens all the time. And if you happen to be with the right photographer (wrong photographer - however you want to look at it!), your career could very well be well on its way! The models give in and do it and their careers explode off the charts!

You know I am right. But.....having said that.....it doesn't make it right.

We'll see what happens with this particular situation between the Zakar Twins and Rick.

Yes I am sure in the beginning he had to build up popularity but now he is known for his mainly sexually suggestive photographs of beautiful men and because of that he has a huge following. This makes everyone want to work with him and get the attention his other models get. I believe most of these models are willing to do whatever it takes to work with him, and they do. But yes, he can make a model's career, especially at the start of their career. Afterall, his photographs get lots of attention. This thread being 30 pages proves all that.
