Fleets were twitter’s lame attempt at replicating Instagram stories. Temp social posts that last up to 24 hours. Literally lasted a few months before they decided to axe them. Nobody asked for it and didn’t get anywhere near the engagement they needed to maintain it.
Instagram stories was instagram’s rather successful replication of Snapchat’s USP of temporary social posts.
....and they named it fleet? Full on knowing gay twitter exists.... No wonder it didn't last lol
