I just started publishing a new explicit, serialized story called Room for More.

It follows Mark and Dillon, two new roommates whose attraction builds slowly through awkward encounters, voyeurism, disappearing boundaries and a lot of tension.

Below is the preview of Chapter One: Twenty Minutes Early.

I’ll be posting the complete chapters and continuing story on Patreon, posting new chapters weekly on Fridays. The artwork is AI as it is fiction.

MARK

Lately, Mark had begun to worry that he was becoming a chronic masturbator.

It was not that he preferred it to sex. He did not, most of the time. At thirty-six, he knew exactly what he liked in bed and had never had much interest in restricting himself to one role. He was enthusiastic in either direction when the man was right and generally willing to let chemistry determine the rest, picking up hints along the way and getting turned on by his own versatility. He liked muscular bodies and softer ones, older men and, increasingly, younger men. He liked a thick chest with defined nipples, strong legs that grounded a man and the round, high bubble butt of a guy, whether it was something to smother himself with or simply grab.

He particularly liked facials, mostly in porn rather than in real life.

Porn featuring a beautiful facial had become a reliable weakness, especially if the man receiving one looked delighted. Mark liked the surrender of it, the wet mess across a handsome face, cum sticking to gorgeous stubble, the erotic imbalance between humiliation and trust. He could lose half an hour searching for the right video before he even grabbed his cock.

The problem was that he had been masturbating a lot more than before.

The house had pulled him away from the easy rhythm of his old life in the city. He no longer lived within walking distance of gay bars, restaurants, friends and whatever man happened to be awake at midnight. A hookup now required more planning, a car or a long train ride, and enough energy to make conversation with someone after a day spent discussing plumbing and contractor estimates. Most nights, Mark got home from his finance job downtown, ate something in front of the TV and found himself too tired to go anywhere but not remotely too tired to get horny.

So he watched porn.

He watched it in bed, on the sofa and occasionally in the unfinished guest room, where the lack of curtains added a voyeuristic charge he did not entirely trust himself to examine. The whole house was his, after all. Some nights, Mark came twice before falling asleep. On weekends, when the house was quiet and the morning stretched uselessly ahead of him, he could disappear into it for a couple of hours.

That Saturday, he had been at it for nearly that long.

He knew he needed to finish. Dillon Graves, a potential roommate, was coming at ten to see the house. Mark had set an alarm for 9:30, giving himself enough time to shower, pull on clothes and make the place look as though it were occupied by a responsible homeowner rather than a man who had spent most of the morning comparing the cock-sucking skills of strangers.

At 9:38, after silencing the 9:30 alarm twice, he was still lying across his bed in a black jockstrap, his hand slick with lotion and his laptop beside him. His cock was beautiful: straight, proportionate and just above average, enough for long strokes and an occasional “Your dick feels so big inside me” from a hookup.

The jockstrap was not necessary. That was why he liked it. The thick elastic framed his bare ass while the pouch held him firmly, making the weight and girth of his arousal feel more pronounced. He liked the way it looked against his skin and the faint pressure of the straps when his body tightened. He liked the breeze against his slightly hairy taint. Sometimes the sight of himself in it was enough to keep him hard longer than he should have been.

The video on his laptop had reached the part he had been waiting for. A dark-haired man was kneeling between another man’s legs, face lifted, mouth open, eyes wet and begging. Mark’s breath had become shallow. He had begun to stroke faster, concentrating on the head of his cock, knowing that he had two minutes before he had to get up and twenty-two before Dillon was supposed to arrive.

Then there was a knock at the door.

Mark stopped.

For a moment, the sound seemed to belong to the video. Then it came again, followed by two clean notes from the doorbell echoing through the quiet house.

He looked toward the clock.

9:40.

“No.”

His strokes slowed. The man in the video was already slurping what was left from the tip of the cock in front of him. Mark missed the cum shot while trying to find his phone. The doorbell rang a second time.

He snapped the laptop shut. The man on the screen disappeared, leaving Mark flushed, unsatisfied and too flustered to remember the open bottle of lotion on the nightstand, the tissue box beside it and the laptop positioned next to a faint, sweaty dent in the bed that suggested exactly how he had spent the morning.

Dillon had said in one of his emails that he was usually prompt, if not early. Mark had assumed that meant a polite three minutes, not enough time to make a difference. Twenty minutes was enough time to interrupt an entire life.

“Coming!” Mark shouted, and immediately regretted the word.

He stood. The front of the jockstrap was still full and damp with lotion, his cock pressing heavily against the fabric. He considered removing it, but there was no time to wrestle himself into underwear while still mostly hard. His navy robe hung on a hook on the back of the door. He shoved his arms into it and tied it quickly at the waist.

The robe was one of his more indulgent purchases: satin, or something close enough that the technical distinction did not matter, dark blue and cut just above mid-thigh. He liked the cool slide of it over his bare skin, particularly across the exposed curves of his ass. Wearing it around his own house made him feel faintly decadent, even when he was only carrying laundry or trying to determine why the downstairs ceiling had developed another stain. It had come with matching boxers, but those had been used as a cum rag the night before.

Mark caught sight of himself in the dresser mirror. His dark hair was flattened at one temple. His face was hot, and handsome stubble shadowed his jaw and upper lip. The robe exposed his hairy chest, the thick dark hair spreading across his pecs and narrowing toward his stomach. The satin covered his upper thighs but not much more. Below it, his long legs and bare feet looked almost deliberately displayed.

The front of the robe did little to disguise the thick pressure beneath it.

He tightened the belt and made the outline worse.

“Perfect.”

He hurried downstairs with one hand holding the robe closed. The old steps announced every footfall. He intended to open the door only far enough to identify whoever was outside, then ask for five minutes if it was Dillon.

Through the narrow glass beside the entrance, he saw a tall blond man standing on the porch with a black duffel bag over one shoulder.

Mark stopped.

Dillon’s application photo had shown a pleasant-looking young man in a baseball cap, smiling beside two friends at what appeared to be a football game. The figure outside the door was broader and considerably more interesting.

Mark opened it.

The first thing he noticed was Dillon’s chest.

Dillon wore a faded black workout tank with narrow straps and low-cut armholes. It clung to the full shape of his pecs and remained slightly damp around the center of his chest, beneath his arms and along the flat plane of his stomach. The fabric had dried unevenly after his shower, leaving faint dark patches that traced the heat of his body. His nipples pressed visibly through it, small and firm beneath the damp cotton.

His hair was blond and buzzed close, darker at the roots where it was still wet. The cut sharpened the shape of his head and made his face look both younger and more masculine. He had round, blushing cheeks, a clean, chiseled jaw and a dewy smile that seemed to gather slowly before taking over his entire face. When it did, his eyes narrowed into warm, charming crescents.

Gray athletic shorts sat low on his hips and ended several inches above his knees. His thighs looked strong and dense beneath them, his calves muscular and lightly covered in blond hair.

He smelled as though he had stepped out of a gym shower minutes earlier. Generic soap, damp skin and deodorant floated above a subtler trace of warm male musk that the shower had softened but not entirely removed.

For one long second, Mark forgot that he was supposed to speak.

Dillon was looking at him too.

His gaze first landed on Mark’s chest. Mark watched him take in the broad pecs, the dark hair and the warm skin framed by the robe. Dillon’s eyes moved lower, following the satin to where it ended high on Mark’s thighs. They paused on his long legs, then quickly returned to his face.

Mark saw Dillon notice the stubble along his jaw. He saw his attention catch briefly on Mark’s lips before moving up to his eyes.

A shy smile escaped Mark before he could restrain it. It felt unusually genuine, almost boyish, and he had the uncomfortable sense that Dillon recognized it as such.

“Mark?” Dillon asked.

“Yeah. Dillon?”

“Yes.”

Dillon shifted the gym bag on his shoulder. His exposed arm flexed, and Mark noticed pale calluses across his fingers where they curled around the strap.

“I’m really sorry,” Dillon said. “I know I’m early.”

“You are. A little bit.”

The reply sounded more abrupt than Mark intended. He softened it with another small smile and glanced down at himself.

“I thought I had twenty more minutes to look like a normal person.”

Dillon looked at the robe again. His cheeks became pinker.

“You look good.”

Mark gave a quiet laugh. “I look like a crazy lady who just woke up.

Dillon’s eyes flickered toward the knot at Mark’s waist.

“I can come back. I’ll wait in my car.”

“No, you’re already here.”

“I should’ve texted my ETA.”

“It’s okay. No worries. Come in.”

Mark stepped aside and opened the door fully.

“I’m going to blame the outfit on you.”

“That’s fair.”

Dillon entered with a cautious turn of his body, trying to keep the bag from touching Mark. It brushed against his bare thigh anyway.

“Sorry.”

“You’re fine.”

They faced one another in the small entryway. Up close, Dillon’s fresh-shower scent was even stronger. There were tiny beads of moisture near his buzzed hairline, and his skin had the smooth, warm sheen of a body that had recently been scrubbed and rinsed. His callused hand rested against the strap of the duffel bag.

Mark extended his hand.

The gesture was automatic. It became excruciating the instant Dillon reached for it.

Mark had been using that hand to masturbate less than three minutes earlier.

He had wiped most of the lotion onto a tissue, but he could still feel the faint slickness around his palm and fingers. Shame and arousal moved through him at once as Dillon’s hand closed around his.

Dillon’s grip was strong without being aggressive. The calluses scraped pleasantly against Mark’s skin, rough from weights and work. His palm was warm. His thumb rested near the base of Mark’s index finger, close to where the last trace of lotion remained.

“Nice to meet you,” Dillon said.

“You too.”

Mark felt absurdly exposed, as though Dillon could somehow detect what his hand had been doing from the heat of it. He withdrew a little too quickly.

Dillon did not appear to notice. He looked around the living room, but his eyes kept returning to Mark’s chest and then to the long, bare line of his legs beneath the robe

“The house is beautiful,” Dillon said. “It’s much nicer than the pictures.”

“Thank you. It’s been a lot of work.”

“You’ve done a great job with it.”

The compliment was sincere and slightly formal. Dillon did not wander farther into the room or touch anything. He stood where Mark had left him, waiting to be shown around.

Mark liked that. The other potential renters he had interviewed had behaved as though they were inspecting a hotel room, opening drawers and commenting on flaws before they had properly introduced themselves.

“Most of it is still unfinished,” Mark said.

“It doesn’t feel unfinished.”

“You haven’t seen the holes yet.”

Dillon smiled, and his cheeks lifted around it. His whole face brightened with warmth

Mark felt his body stir again beneath the robe.

He gestured toward the living room. “This is obviously the main space. You can use everything—the television, the sofa, whatever. I don’t treat the house like a museum.”

The room had finally begun to resemble the place he had imagined when he bought it. A low gray sofa faced a large television on a walnut console. A stylish leather armchair sat beneath a curved black floor lamp. A few books remained stacked on the floor while Mark searched for shelving that did not look generic.

Dillon walked slowly around the edge of the room.

“The chair is really cool.”

“Thanks.”

“And the lamp.

Mark smiled. “You’re very good for my self-esteem.”

“I mean it. You have great taste.”

Dillon’s voice held open admiration rather than flattery. Mark found himself straightening slightly, aware of the way the movement broadened his chest inside the robe.

Dillon noticed that too.

They passed into the dining room, where the oval table and mismatched vintage chairs sat beneath a round milk-glass pendant. The room was one of the few that felt complete.

Dillon stopped.

“This is amazing.”

Mark laughed softly, more from shyness than humor. “It’s a table.”

“My current dining room is a folding table with a burn mark in the middle.”

“What happened?”

“No one knows. That’s kind of the problem with the house.”

Mark looked at him.

Dillon lowered his eyes to the chair nearest him. “The guys are good guys. They’re just messy. It still feels like a college house.”

“And you’re done with that.”

“Yep. I think so.”

He sounded less certain about himself than he did about the room.

Mark led him into the kitchen. Dillon’s eyes widened when he saw the white oak cabinets, dark soapstone counters and wide stainless-steel range.

“This is nicer than any kitchen I’ve had.”

“It was renovated before I bought the house.”

“So you didn’t have to do anything?”

“Not yet. I’m sure the house is waiting for the right moment to ruin it.”

Dillon smiled but did not feel the need to offer a quick joke in return. He moved closer to the island and rested one hand against the counter.

The calluses across his palm were clearly visible now. Mark’s eyes traced them.

“You said in your email that you work out a lot. You lift almost every day?”

“Four or five days.”

“You can tell from your hands.”

Dillon looked down and opened his palm. “They’re rough.”

“They look strong.”

The words came out more intimately than Mark had intended.

Dillon’s pink cheeks deepened in color. “Thanks.”

Mark looked at his hand again. He pictured those thick, callused fingers against his skin, holding his waist or gripping his thighs. The thought arrived with enough force to make his breath catch.

Dillon’s gaze moved over Mark’s body in return.

“You work out too.”

“I force myself to.”

“You look like you do more than force yourself.”

“I like the results. I don’t enjoy the process.”

Dillon smiled. “You’re in really good shape.”

“Mostly from the waist up.”

Dillon looked down at Mark’s exposed legs.

“Your legs look good.”

“They’re long. That helps.”

“They’re not just long.”

The sentence was quiet and observant. Dillon let his gaze travel from Mark’s thighs to his calves before looking back up.

Mark shifted against the island. The robe moved with him, sliding open another inch along one thigh.

“I hate leg day,” he said. “I keep telling myself I want better glutes, but apparently not enough to suffer for them.”

Dillon’s eyes moved behind Mark for a fraction of a second.

“You could build them without doing a huge leg day.”

Mark lifted an eyebrow.

“With the right program,” Dillon added.

“I assume that’s the personal trainer talking.”

“A little.”

“You think you could fix me?”

Dillon smiled, the shy kind that seemed to escape rather than appear on command.

“You don’t need fixing.”

“I need an ass.”

“I’m happy to help with whatever you think you need.”

Mark felt the answer in the lower part of his body.

“I mean,” Dillon continued, “you already look really good. You’re tall, you’re handsome, you have wide shoulders and good definition in your pecs, from what I can see. You don’t have to work out that much to look good.”

The compliment landed differently from the ones about the house.

Mark looked at him.

Dillon’s round cheeks had become fully flushed, but the chiseled line of his jaw remained steady. His expression was open, respectful and slightly uncertain, as though he knew he had said something more personal than the conversation required but did not want to take it back.

Mark’s shy smile returned.

“That’s a big compliment.”

“It’s true.”

Dillon’s eyes moved over Mark’s face, lingering on the dark stubble and then his mouth.

Mark felt warmth rise into his own cheeks.

“You’re doing pretty well yourself,” he said.

Dillon’s smile widened, dewy and bright.

“Thanks.”

“You have the kind of chest people spend years trying to build.”

“I’ve been lifting a long time.”

The tank was still damp between Dillon’s pecs. Mark’s gaze caught there, and this time he did not look away quickly enough

Dillon noticed.

A small quiver passed through the muscles in his chest when he inhaled.

“I could definitely train you,” he said.

Mark imagined Dillon behind him in a gym, his breath warm near Mark’s neck, those callused hands adjusting his hips. The fantasy had enough physical clarity that Mark felt the pouch of the jockstrap tighten beneath the robe.

“All right. I’ll pay, of course.”

“I wouldn’t charge you.”

“You should.”

“Not at first.”

Dillon lowered his voice slightly. “Your time is valuable. We’ll figure something out.”

The silence that followed was not empty. It felt dense with breath, scent and the awareness of their bodies standing across a kitchen island.

Mark opened a cabinet to show Dillon several empty shelves. “You can put kitchen stuff here. There’s room in the pantry too.”

“I have a blender, an air fryer, a rice cooker and some pans.”

“That’s fine.”

“I cook most of my meals.”

“You look like someone who owns several identical containers of chicken and rice.”

Dillon smiled. “Not identical. Some have broccoli.”

The joke was small and ordinary. Mark liked it more than the sharpened banter he usually encountered on dates. Dillon seemed funny without needing to prove he was funny.

They moved toward the stairs.

“The only real problem is the bathroom situation,” Mark said. “The powder room downstairs and my en suite upstairs are both unusable. They share a plumbing line.”

“How long will it take?”

“The contractor says six weeks.”

Dillon nodded sympathetically. “Which probably means more.”

“I’d guess at least double that. The work hasn’t even started yet.”

“So we’d share the hall bathroom.”

“For a while.”

“Okay.”

“I leave early for work, usually around eight-thirty.”

“I go to the gym earlier than that most days.

“So we may not be fighting over it.”

“I can shower at the gym if I need to. I don’t mind. I just showered there today.”

Mark glanced again at Dillon’s damp buzz cut and glowing skin.

“I can tell.”

Dillon looked self-conscious.

“In a good way,” Mark added. “You smell fresh.”

The phrase sounded more intimate once spoken aloud.

Dillon’s smile softened. “Oh, good. You smell good too.”

Mark let out a small laugh. Dillon could not possibly smell much of him from where he stood, which made the compliment feel less like an observation than an assumption that Mark would naturally smell good.

Mark could feel the lotion-damp fabric of the jockstrap. The fact that Dillon did not know what he was wearing made the sensation more erotic. Mark and his layers of freakiness.

Before leading him upstairs, Mark paused.

“I should probably mention that this is a calm, quiet home. I don’t party much or bring a lot of guys home.

The sentence was casual enough that Dillon could accept the information without being forced into a formal reaction.

He did.

“Okay. Works for me.”

“I just like being direct. You’re comfortable with that?

“Completely. I prefer a calm environment at home too.”

Dillon answered without hesitation. He did not volunteer anything further, and Mark did not ask. Dillon had mentioned a former girlfriend in one of his emails. Still, something changed in his expression. His gaze moved once more over Mark’s hairy chest and long bare legs, now with a slightly clearer understanding of the man inside the robe. Mark wondered whether Dillon was imagining the kinds of guys he brought home.

Mark turned toward the staircase.

As he climbed, the robe moved over his thighs and bare backside. The satin was too short to remain modest on steep steps. Each lift of his leg made the hem rise and separate, and he could feel cool air brush the skin below the straps of the jock.

Dillon followed directly behind.

Mark heard his breathing deepen.

Halfway up, he imagined the black elastic at the base of his ass becoming visible for a second. He did not reach back to adjust the robe. Doing so would only confirm that there was something underneath worth hiding.

At the landing, he stepped aside.

“This is the bathroom that works.”

Dillon stepped into the bathroom. His shoulder brushed Mark’s exposed chest, warm skin against warm skin through the loose edge of the robe.

Both men stopped.

“Sorry,” Dillon said quietly.

“It’s fine. Small doorway.”

Up close, Mark could see tiny droplets of water still caught near the roots of Dillon’s buzz cut. His lips had a natural, plump shine that made his smile look perpetually fresh.

Dillon’s eyes moved across Mark’s face, pausing on his stubble.

Mark felt the air between them become thick.

“The pressure’s good,” he said, nodding toward the shower.

Dillon took a moment to understand.

“Good.”

Mark showed him the empty shelves in the medicine cabinet and the storage beneath the sink. When he turned back into the hallway, Dillon’s attention drifted toward the open door of Mark’s bedroom.

The room was visible from where they stood: dark wood, warm brown bedding and amber lamps. It looked more intimate than the rest of the house, fully decorated and quietly masculine.

Dillon’s eyes moved to the messy bed.

The laptop lay near the pillow. On the nightstand beside it stood the open bottle of lotion and a box of tissues.

Dillon looked at the lotion.

Then at Mark.

Understanding passed across his face so quickly that he could have denied it.

His cheeks turned even redder.

Mark felt his stomach tighten.

“That’s my room,” he said. “It’s where the magic doesn’t happen.”

“It looks really nice.”

“Thanks.”

The guest room was directly across the hall. Morning light flooded the warm gray walls and newly refinished floor. A queen bed sat between two nightstands, with a handsome low dresser opposite it. The furniture was simple, but it meant Dillon would not have to bring more than his clothes and personal belongings.

He stepped inside and stopped.

“This is great.”

“You like it?”

“I really do.”

Dillon put the gym bag beside the dresser.

“I can’t believe it has furniture.”

“I originally intended it to be a guest room.”

“Sorry.”

“For what?”

“For taking it over.”

“You’re paying for the privilege.”

Dillon smiled and sat on the edge of the mattress to test it.

The bed dipped beneath his weight. His shorts pulled tighter across his strong thighs, and the bag no longer concealed the fullness at his crotch. It was subtle but unmistakable, a thickening beneath the thin athletic fabric that Dillon seemed unable to control completely.

Mark looked away before it became obvious that he had seen.

His attention moved to the uncovered windows.

“The curtains haven’t arrived yet.”

Dillon turned toward them.

The house next door was clearly visible beyond the narrow backyard. The upstairs window directly opposite belonged to Stan, Mark’s neighbor. Stan lived alone, was somewhere in his forties and approached nudity with the freedom of a man who believed curtains were an unnecessary concession to shame.

Mark had seen him naked often.

At first, it had seemed accidental: Stan crossing the bedroom after a shower, changing near the window or standing in profile while pulling on underwear. Over time, the moments had become more deliberate. Stan lingered. He stretched. He stood near the glass with his muscular body fully exposed and appeared to check whether Mark was looking.

Sometimes Mark looked back.

Once, Stan had held his gaze while slowly dropping a towel.

“The neighbor can see straight into this room,” Mark said.

Dillon stood and approached the window.

“Really?”

“Very clearly.”

Dillon looked across the yard. Stan’s room appeared empty, the curtains half open.

“Does he watch?”

Dillon was reading between the lines.

“Stan tends to notice things.”

“You know his name?”

“Of course.”

“What’s he like?”

“Friendly. Nice guy. We just haven’t had a chance to hang out. He’s free-spirited.”

Dillon looked over his shoulder. “Meaning?”

“He’s not shy about being naked.”

Interest sharpened Dillon’s expression.

“He walks around naked?”

“Sometimes.

“Accidentally?”

Mark smiled.

“I don’t think so. I mean, he’s in his own home, but there’s something about it.”

Dillon looked back at the neighboring house.

“Has he seen you?”

“Almost certainly.”

“He’s seen the robe, then?” Dillon asked, smiling.

“Among other things.”

A faint pulse moved at the front of Dillon’s shorts.

“Like I said, the curtains are coming,” Mark said, though he was less certain than he sounded.

Dillon remained in front of the uncovered window, his built chest and strong arms fully visible from across the yard.

“He can see the bed from there,” he said.

“Yes.”

Dillon’s smile returned, smaller and more private now.

“I’ll have to remember.”

“It’s almost inevitable because the houses are so close. And men don’t like wearing much around the house.”

The sexual tension in the room felt constant and consuming, no longer a sequence of accidental moments but a steady current beneath everything they said. Mark could smell the clean musk of Dillon’s skin. He could see the pulse beating low in his neck and the faint quiver of muscle in his arm. He wondered what Dillon would wear while alone at home.

Dillon stepped away from the window.

“I love the room,” he said. “The whole house feels calm.”

“That’s what I wanted.”

“You did a good job.”

Mark looked around at the bare walls and missing curtains.

“It’s been slow.”

“Because of the cost?”

“Mostly. I underestimated the renovations. Then the plumbing happened, and every contractor who came in found something else.”

“That’s why you need a roommate.”

“Yes.”

Mark leaned against the dresser.

“I can afford the house. I’d just rather not spend the next two years putting every repair on a credit card.”

“That makes sense.”

The conversation turned more practical as they went downstairs. Mark noticed that Dillon moved ahead of him this time, perhaps giving him privacy on the stairs. Mark appreciated the gesture, though it deprived him of the chance to feel Dillon’s eyes on the backs of his thighs again.

At the dining table, Dillon unzipped the front of the gym bag.

“I brought documents,” he said. “Probably too many.”

He removed a neat folder and placed it in front of Mark. Inside were three recent pay stubs, a letter confirming his employment at the sporting-goods store, a copy of his driver’s license, proof of renters insurance and a printout from his savings account.

Mark looked at him, impressed.

“You came prepared.”

“My mom told me to bring everything that made me look legitimate.”

“She gave you good advice.”

“She didn’t trust me to explain it.”

Dillon smiled sheepishly.

Mark reviewed the papers. Dillon had been employed at the store for nearly two years. His pay was modest but steady. He had enough savings to cover the deposit and several months of rent, and his insurance was current.

“You’re more legitimate than most of the people I’ve met,” Mark said.

“I really want the room.”

The admission was quiet and direct.

Mark looked up.

There was an appealing submissiveness in the way Dillon waited for Mark’s judgment—not weakness, but a willingness to be evaluated, to prove himself and accept the rules of someone else’s home. His attention stayed fixed on Mark’s large hands as they moved through the paperwork.

“You’re making a good case,” Mark said

Dillon smiled, his eyes nearly disappearing.

They went through the month-to-month lease, utilities, cleaning and parking. Dillon listened closely and asked sensible questions. He did not interrupt or negotiate over minor points.

When Mark explained that guests were fine but no one could effectively move in without discussion, Dillon nodded.

“That’s completely fair. You’re looking for one roommate.”

“Exactly. I don’t have guests over constantly either,” Mark said. “I’ve been too busy with the house.”

They discussed Dillon’s work at the sporting-goods store and the small personal-training business he was trying to build on the side. Two older men he had met through the store had already started paying him privately. Mark asked how they had decided to hire him.

“They’re regulars at the store. They flirt with me a little,” Dillon admitted.

“Does that bother you?”

“No.”

The speed of the answer made both of them pause.

Dillon gave a small shrug. “They’re nice. And it’s flattering.”

“There’s nothing wrong with liking attention.”

“I guess.”

Mark looked at the young man across from him, at the thick chest beneath the damp tank and the fresh smile that seemed to invite attention without calculation.

“You probably get a lot of it.”

Dillon’s cheeks reddened again.

“At the store sometimes.”

“I’m not surprised.”

Dillon looked at Mark’s exposed chest.

“You probably do too.”

“Less since I moved out here.”

Mark smiled.

Dillon lowered his voice. “You’re very handsome.”

It no longer felt random. It felt like the natural conclusion of everything Dillon had been noticing since the door opened: Mark’s height, his long legs, hairy chest, strong body, stubble and the shy smile that kept escaping whenever Dillon looked at him too openly.

Mark felt genuinely flustered.

“Thank you.”

“I mean it.”

“I know.”

The robe had shifted open at one thigh. Dillon’s eyes lowered again.

Mark could not tell whether they were flirting or Dillon was simply very open and sweet.

Dillon swallowed.

The room became quiet enough that Mark could hear both of them breathing.

They finished the lease slowly.

When Mark finally extended his hand across the table, Dillon looked surprised.

“You can have the room.”

Relief moved through Dillon’s entire body. His shoulders dropped, and his bright smile opened fully.

“Seriously?”

“Seriously.”

Dillon reached for him.

Mark experienced the same jolt of embarrassment as before. The hand Dillon was taking had been slick around Mark’s cock less than an hour ago. The lotion had long since dried or rubbed away, but the knowledge remained vivid. This time, Mark enjoyed it.

Dillon’s rough palm closed firmly around his.

His calluses dragged against Mark’s softer skin. The grip felt manly, strong and warm. Dillon’s thumb pressed into the side of Mark’s hand, and Mark felt the contact travel directly through him.

“Thank you,” Dillon said.

“You’re welcome.”

Neither released immediately.

Dillon’s eyes moved to Mark’s mouth. Mark’s shy smile surfaced again, and something in Dillon’s expression softened as though he wanted to preserve it.

Their hands separated slowly.

“You can move in tomorrow,” Mark said.

“Tomorrow?”

“It’s the first of the month. You said you were ready.”

“I am.

Dillon looked almost disbelievingly happy.

“I can be here at ten.”

“Nine-forty also works.”

“I’ll be on time.”

The humor felt natural now, emerging from the morning rather than being performed for effect.

Dillon wrote the security check and slid it across the table. Their fingertips touched. His skin remained warm.

Mark gave him the spare keys and explained the alarm. Dillon repeated the code quietly and clipped the keys to the strap of his duffel.

The sight of them there made the arrangement suddenly real.

Tomorrow, this young man would be inside the house without having to be invited through the door. He would sleep across the hall, shower in Mark’s bathroom and move through the upstairs rooms in whatever he wore when no one was watching. His scent would remain in towels and sheets. His clothes would collect in the guest room. His thick body would occupy spaces Mark had previously moved through alone.

“I might leave the bag here,” Dillon said. “Would that be okay?”

“The gym bag?”

“Yeah. I don’t need it tonight. It was silly to bring it inside. It’s mostly dirty clothes, but it had the paperwork.”

“It’s not a problem.”

“I don’t want it making the room smell.”

Mark looked at the bag, then at Dillon’s clean, blushing face.

“I think the room can get used to your smell now that it’s yours.”

Dillon smiled.

Mark wanted to get used to Dillon’s smell as well.

Dillon carried the bag upstairs, and Mark followed. In the guest room, Dillon crouched to set it beside the dresser. The tank stretched across his back, outlining the strong muscle beneath it. The deep armhole exposed the side of his chest, a damp line of skin and the soft edge of one nipple.

When Dillon stood, they were close enough to share breath.

His shower scent had warmed during the meeting, the clean soap now mixed with a faint return of sweat and musk. Mark could feel the heat coming from him.

Dillon’s eyes moved over his face, lingering on the stubble around Mark’s mouth.

“Thanks again,” he said.

“You don’t have to keep thanking me.”

“Okay. I’ll stop.”

Dillon smiled.

Mark smiled back, then let his gaze drop to the front of Dillon’s shorts. The shape was subtle but unmistakably male, thickening beneath the gray fabric despite the respectful stillness of his posture.

Mark’s own cock pressed heavily against the jockstrap.

For a moment, neither man moved. The uncovered window stood behind Dillon, opening the private tension of the room to Stan’s house across the yard.

Then Dillon stepped back.

“I should go and get packing.”

“I’ll walk you out.”

At the front door, Dillon turned and looked at Mark one last time. His gaze traveled openly over the hairy chest, the dark robe and the long bare legs.

“I’m glad I didn’t make things too weird by being early.”

Mark thought of the interrupted video, the damp pouch beneath his robe and the bottle of lotion Dillon had seen on his nightstand. He decided to let the embarrassment go instead of carrying it into tomorrow.

“You made the morning more thrilling.”

Dillon’s cheeks turned scarlet.

Mark’s smile softened so the remark would not feel like a challenge.

Dillon opened the door.

“Tomorrow at ten.”

“See you then.”

Mark watched him walk to the dark-blue SUV parked beneath a tree. The backs of his thighs flexed beneath the loose shorts. Before getting in, Dillon looked toward the house and smiled again.

Mark remained in the doorway until the vehicle disappeared.

I'll post a bit more of chapter one :)

DILLON

Dillon kept his eyes on the road until he reached the end of the block.

Only then did he look into the rearview mirror.

Mark’s house had already disappeared behind the trees, but Dillon could still picture him standing in the doorway: the dark robe, the bare legs, the chest hair visible between the folds of satin. More than anything, he remembered the smile. Mark had seemed confident until Dillon complimented him. Then something boyish had escaped across his face before he could hide it.

Dillon adjusted himself through his shorts and immediately took his hand away.

“What the fuck?”

He had been half hard for most of the meeting.

Dillon saw hot men naked at the gym every day. He changed beside them, showered near them and occasionally caught them looking at him. He had seen every possible variation of dick, ass and body before nine in the morning. None of it usually stayed with him once he left the locker room.

Mark had barely shown him anything.

A hairy chest. Long legs. A robe that shifted when he moved. Still, something about him had kept Dillon’s body alert from the moment the door opened.

Maybe it was because he had skipped his usual post-workout wank.

He did not do it every morning, but often enough that it had become part of the routine: workout, shower, cum. Plenty of guys did it. Dillon spent enough time in the locker room to recognize the rapidly moving shadows beneath the shower-stall doors. It took the edge off before work and stopped him from thinking about sex all day. It also left his cock hanging a little heavier while he changed, which Dillon thought was a good look.

He was a grower. Soft, it was pink and unthreatening, usually about a quarter of its full size. Hard, the thick shaft angled upward and the head nearly reached his belly button. He had never measured it carefully enough to know the exact length.

That morning, he had rushed through his shower because of the meeting. He had dressed while his skin was still wet, thrown his gym clothes into the bag and driven directly to Mark’s house with all that restless energy still trapped inside him.

That could explain the physical part.

It did not explain why he kept thinking about Mark’s hands.

Or the lotion on the nightstand.

Dillon stopped at a red light and rubbed his palm against the steering wheel. Mark’s hand had felt faintly slick during their first handshake. Dillon had understood what that meant as soon as he saw the messy bed and open bottle upstairs.

He had interrupted Mark jerking off.

The image returned with enough force to make Dillon’s cock press more firmly against his shorts: Mark lying on the dark bed in whatever he had beneath the robe, one large hand moving between his legs. The bell ringing. Mark swearing, grabbing the first thing he could find and coming downstairs still hard.

Dillon shifted in his seat and adjusted himself with the same hand Mark had shaken. He was disappointed that no trace of the lotion remained.

Maybe it was not only Mark’s body. Maybe it was the situation.

Mark was older, though not by much. He owned the house. He had chosen the furniture, written the rules and sat across the dining table deciding whether Dillon was responsible enough to live there. Dillon had wanted his approval from the moment he walked inside.

When Mark examined his pay stubs and bank statement, Dillon had watched his hands move through the pages and felt strangely exposed. He had liked waiting for the verdict. He had liked hearing Mark tell him he was making a good case.

Then Mark had chosen him.

The power dynamic should not have turned him on. It did anyway.

Dillon imagined Mark giving him instructions around the house in that calm voice. Telling him where to put something. Asking him to clean the bathroom. Standing in the doorway of Dillon’s room while Dillon sat on the bed and listened.

He exhaled and shifted again.

He needed to cool off.

Tomorrow he would arrive at ten—not twenty minutes early—wear a normal shirt and behave like a normal roommate. He would stop complimenting Mark’s body. He would not stare at his legs or wonder what he had been wearing beneath the robe.

He turned onto the road leading back to his current house and began thinking about how he would break the news to the guys.

They would be surprised it had happened so quickly. Dillon had left that morning saying he was only viewing the room. He had expected Mark to interview more people, check his references and call him sometime during the week. Instead, he was moving the following morning.

The guys would probably accuse him of abandoning them. Then they would ask whether Mark was hot. They had already looked him up from the name in the email, although the small professional photo had not revealed much.

Dillon would have to pretend the answer was unimportant.

He would miss them more than he had admitted.

The house was dirty, loud and permanently smelled like food, but the three of them had become comfortable with one another in a way Dillon doubted he would ever recreate. Someone was always walking out of the bathroom naked or sitting on the sofa with a hand shoved into his shorts. They compared bodies without being precious about it, stared at one another’s dicks and made jokes whenever somebody got hard at an inconvenient time.

There had been a few bate nights too.

They had never called them that until afterward. The first time, all three had been drunk and watching porn in the living room. One of the guys had taken his cock out as a joke. Then another did it. Dillon had waited the longest, pretending he was above it while growing visibly hard beneath his shorts.

Eventually, there was no point pretending.

After that, it happened a few more times. Sometimes they watched porn. Sometimes they watched one another. Nothing crossed whatever invisible boundary they had created, but the room would fill with the sound of three men breathing and stroking themselves while everyone pretended the arrangement was less intimate than it was.

Dillon had liked it.

He had liked the silly horniness that seemed to hover constantly around the house. The casual nudity. The comparisons. The unspoken permission to look.

Living with Mark would not be like that.

Mark was gay, for one thing, which should have made the boundaries clearer rather than more confusing. Dillon could not casually walk around naked or stare at Mark’s body and claim it was only something guys did.

He would have to behave differently.

The idea disappointed him more than it should have.

His phone vibrated in the cup holder.

Dillon glanced toward it, expecting one of the guys, and saw Mark’s new keys.

Then he remembered what was still inside the gym bag.

His current house keys.

“Shit.”

They were in the bag’s front pocket.

At the next light, Dillon quickly typed:

Forgot my keys in the bag. Coming back to get them now.

Then he made a U-turn.

As he drove back, Dillon told himself he would retrieve the keys and leave without seeing Mark. He had already stared too much, complimented him too openly and spent the entire drive imagining things he had no business imagining about his new landlord.

Roommate, he corrected.

Mark had called himself his roommate.

That word somehow made it worse.

MARK

Mark was alone in his house again.

The silence felt different from the one before Dillon arrived. The house seemed to retain the shape of him: the fresh scent in the kitchen, the warmth of his palm and the visual impression of his damp chest beneath the tank.

Mark closed the door and leaned against it. He was seriously crushing on him. He had had crushes like this before. It was normal, he told himself. The feeling would probably fade in a few days, once he had time to realize Dillon was actually a little strange and not nearly as special as he seemed.

But Mark’s cock was fully hard now, the thick pressure almost painful inside the jockstrap.

He went to the kitchen and placed the security check beneath a ceramic bowl. Then he drank a glass of water to center himself.

Dillon’s words replayed in his mind.

You’re tall. You’re handsome. You have a good chest.

I could definitely train you.

Mark went upstairs intending to finish what the doorbell had interrupted.

His bedroom door remained open. The laptop lay on the bed. The lotion was still uncapped on the nightstand. He pumped some into his palm and stroked his cock from base to tip, gliding slowly from side to side. It felt great, but the anonymous porn video no longer held any interest.

Across the hallway, Dillon’s gym bag sat alone in the bright guest room.

Mark stopped.

He knew exactly what would be inside: the tank Dillon had worn while working out, shorts damp with sweat, socks, perhaps underwear. Things that had touched the young man’s skin while it heated and contracted with exertion.

Standing in front of the mirror, Mark pushed the pouch of the black jockstrap aside so his balls and rock-hard cock hung free. The straps still framed his body. He gave himself one full stroke and pictured Dillon seeing him this way.

The blond buzz cut. The round, blushing cheeks. The chiseled jaw and wet, charming smile.

Dillon’s eyes following the collar of the robe, dropping from Mark’s hairy chest to the head of his cock.

Mark’s breath quickened.

He looked toward the door again.

“Don’t do it.”

The words had no conviction.

He crossed into the guest room.

Sunlight made everything feel exposed. The uncovered windows framed Stan’s house, his curtains hanging partly open across the yard.

Dillon’s bag was zipped except for a small gap at the top.

Mark lowered himself beside it, first onto his knees and then onto his hands, until his face was only inches from the zipper.

The scent reached him before he opened it fully: fabric, deodorant, rubber and the deep, warm musk of a man who had worked his muscles until sweat soaked his clothes.

He pulled the zipper back.

A damp towel lay across the top. Beneath it were dark workout shorts, socks and the shirt Dillon had worn before showering. A pair of boxer briefs was balled near one corner, still slightly damp.

Mark’s breath caught.

He lifted the briefs.

The fabric remained faintly warm and wet. Its scent was stronger than Dillon’s body had been at the door, stripped of clean soap and reduced to sweat, skin and concentrated male musk.

Mark brought them to his face.

The first breath made his stomach quiver.

The second made his eyes roll back.

He sat on the floor with his back against the bed. The robe opened across his thighs, and his slick hand found the base of his cock.

His eyes closed as he imagined Dillon training him at the gym, standing close behind him with one callused hand against Mark’s hip and the other low on his back. Dillon’s breath was warm near his ear, his thick chest pressing forward every time he corrected Mark’s stance.

He imagined those rough fingers guiding his body downward, touching his upper arms and thighs as he squatted.

Telling him to hold.

Telling him to squeeze his glutes and thrust.

One more rep.

The fantasy became wet and physical, filled with breath, skin, muscle and the soft musk trapped in the fabric against Mark’s face. In his mind, Dillon remained polite and shy, but his body betrayed him. His cheeks blushed while blood gathered heavily between his legs, hardening his cock and pushing it downward toward the opening of his gym shorts. He looked at Mark’s jockstrap and tried not to stare at the thickness inside it.

Mark lifted himself onto Dillon’s bed. His thighs tensed as he pressed the sweaty briefs to his mouth and nose. His strokes traveled the full length of his shaft and over the engorged head as he imagined jerking off with his hairy ass cheeks rubbing against Dillon’s hard-on.

He came quickly but hard enough to leave himself breathless after a loud moan. The briefs remained pressed against his mouth. The robe lay spread open around his legs. Wetness trailed from his neck to his navel, where cum gathered in a sticky white pool.

For several seconds, he could not move.

Then the arousal drained away and shame took its place.

Mark sat up quickly, checking that he had not gotten cum on Dillon’s briefs.

The guest room was unbearably bright.

Dillon had shown him pay stubs, proof of employment, insurance and savings. He had trusted Mark. He had shaken his hand and thanked him for choosing him.

Mark stared at the damp underwear in his hands, then dropped it onto the floor.

“What the fuck?”

He wiped his torso with the front of his jockstrap, then returned the briefs to the bag, trying to reconstruct the arrangement of everything inside. The towel looked wrong. The shorts had shifted. Who knew what else was askew.

As he zipped the bag shut, the front door opened downstairs.

A key turned in the lock.

“Mark?”

Dillon.

Mark froze beside the bag.

“Sorry. It’s me.”

Footsteps entered the hall.

“I left my house keys in my gym bag. I’m coming up to get them.”

Mark stood too quickly. His robe was still loose, and his breathing remained ragged.

Dillon started up the stairs.

Mark rushed into the shared bathroom, locked the door and turned on the shower. The pipes groaned before water struck the porcelain tub.

“All good,” Mark called. “I just jumped in the shower.”

Dillon reached the landing.

“Sorry. I didn’t realize until I got home. I texted a few minutes ago.”

“You’re fine. No problem.”

Mark stood beside the unused shower, gripping the sink. His heart beat hard enough to make his chest move visibly beneath the robe.

Dillon entered the guest room.

Silence followed.

Mark pictured him opening the bag, seeing the towel out of place and the briefs tucked differently. He imagined Dillon lifting them and noticing that the damp fabric carried a trace of another man’s scent.

A floorboard creaked.

Then nothing.

The pause felt endless.

“Got them,” Dillon finally called

His voice was close, just outside the bathroom.

“Great.”

Mark heard how breathless he sounded.

A shadow darkened the gap beneath the door.

“You okay?” Dillon asked.

“Yes.”

“Okay. I’ll see you tomorrow, roomie.”

“Ten!”

Dillon laughed softly

“Ten.”

His footsteps descended. The front door opened and closed.
