5 episodes in and I'm waiting to see the "intelligence". No nuance or subtlety (you can almost literally see them shoe horning the political messages in rather than weaving it organically into the show), lots of one dimensional characters that exist to just be a trope- the best friend, the bullied character, the typical bullying mean girl who dislikes the main character for no meaningful or discernable reason.

Agree on Miranda Otto though, and the supernatural bits are spot on. Like I said though, I'm just 5 eps in, so hopefully the series shows its intelligent side soon.
