Has anyone seen his commercial where a girl says to him, "Can you handle it?" To which Rusty replies, "Can you?" I think it is a Subaru commercial. Can anyone post it? I cannot find a link for it online. Thanks.

Did his parents hate him? Or is it a stage name? In which case why name yourself after a piece of siezed up machinery. I don't get some names these days.

I believe that a "joiner" is a power tool used in wood working (cabinetry, furniture, etc), and if it get's too rusty, it will probably quit working (seize up). Therefore..."Rusty Joiner" = "Siezed up machinery".

Thanks, as an American (USA) I never heard of a "rusty joiner," nor have I ever heard the expression, "seized up."

Rusty's birth name was Jason Russell Joiner.

Rusty is supposedly a nickname he gained during his childhood, which he then assumed as his stage name also.

I will always remember seeing him on The View a few years back when he won the Structure underwear modeling contest and they had a bunch of the models on. Joy made a comment like "did you guys all fall asleep in a waxing factory or something?" because they were all completely smooth. Then I recently started seeing him in commercials and saw that the years have been extra nice to Rusty :wink:
