1. If eddie isn't gay, they could hint it for attention. But as seen in the last ep they aren't even hinting it; they are exxaaaggeerraattiinngg it! Even Josh (a LGBTQ+) was eddie for halloween.
2. Idk how fast they are going to do they are going to do the Buck is taking care of Chris storyline, cause they already have a baby story line with Maddie and Chimmey.

True, but I don't think Ryan Murphy is really involved in the 911 series. He's not Tyler Perry in micromanaging his franchises lol. In fact. I don't think except for Season 1. He has had no creative involvement in the 911 franchise. This is different of course from his Netflix shows.

They're low priority for him tbh. It's the award contender ones like Monsters that have his focus more. Saying that he's co-written four episodes so far with Doctor Odyssey and even that's lacking his usual flair.

i wouldn't go that far as to say it was "unintentional". i think after knowing that the fandom is interested in it, they really leaned on to it and used it as a motivator for people to watch it.

i think that this season had a different vibe to it. They used every moment in s8 ep 6 to emphasize eddie's gayness: hot priest, juice, dancing and buck see him in underwear, confession, the mustache etc. One can argue he is hiding this sexuality.

It helps that buck was trying to visibly get Eddie's attention such as in s2 ep 1 and s7 ep 4 (ep where tommy and buck kisses) and he is now bi.

Pretending to be interested so Eddie would invite him and when that didn't work he got Chimney to invite him. I think they're just baiting.

This show can't have much more life in it. This is season 8 and almost everyone on the show is a big name.

They've just got to keep as many people watching as they can while they set up the spinoff.

Going by one of Ryan’s interviews, it was Kenneth Choi’s (and Tim’s) idea for the Risky Business dance and Ryan was more than happy to it.

Tim has stated multiple times that the fans have influenced some of the scenes they’ve written. I’m pretty sure he’s the one that said in an interview that the Christmas elf telling Buck “You two have an adorable son” in season 2 was a nod to the fans of Buddie.

Whether the underwear scene is one of those scenes that it’s “not too deep” remains to be seen in my opinion. Mostly because I was like WTF when I saw a tweet saying Abby was engaged to Tommy before Buck dated her and I’m pretty sure that part about her dating a Tommy was just thrown in during a conversation with Carla in season one.

people really take things way too much at face value, Abbott Elementary had interviews from one of the leads talking about how their relationship was a “platonic love” only for it to come out after they got together that he knew the whole time and was straight up lying. they would never spoil a plot point as major as Eddie being gay, but there’s been so much on the show telegraphing it that I think a lot of people are just genuinely choosing not to see it bc they got too fixated on a couple that was clearly never going to last

If you had read the rest of what I said I never denied he was getting Eddie's attention?But it was to get an invite to the basketball game. Its not my opinion Tim Minear laid it out very clear in his own words in his interviews thats how he wrote it.

i don't think they are going to be that stupid to do that despite what ryan said. A huge majority of the fandom ships buddie and they aren't going to settle until they get what they want. Putting another actress in there is just going to cause anger and harassment. Frankly, i find that actor to be very brave lmao. I understand Ryan's perspective on it.

If u are straight, you don't want people to say u are gay. I think he puts alot of himself into that chracter and being able to portray that kind of friendship he ddin't see alot of growing up was important to him. I don't want to force buddie on to him if he doesn't want to and i don't think it is homophobic to not want to do that. It's just that some scenes were written to be genuine deep friendship and some scenes were written very gay. that's all.

as a whole the show is trash - the only thing we watch for is buddie and its cruel for them to keep teasing us and keep pushing sub text, but never fully going there. i just know that a lot of viewers will be let down if this ends in nothing but theres nothing we can do. we wont know till the show ends. they could end up married to end up just friends whatever. if they go through with buddie - this show can last 2 more seasons, if they dont this show is coming to an end soon

The only thing you watch for is Buddie. Don’t speak for the rest of us. If they don’t go through with Buddie it’s ok the show is still going to survive. One fandom just doesn’t carry the whole show. The show is doing too good for them to pull the plug because a bunch of butt hurt Buddie fans stopped watching which will never happen because y’all will continue to tune in and complain about how Buddie isn’t together. The show has been great since season one and it has continued to grow each and every season and one couple or their fandom isn’t going to stop it. So chill out
