are you mistaking his character for tim drake? tim's the one who got written as bi and given a boyfriend. tim was played by jay lycurgo on the show

Yeah people thought maybe in the upcoming season gar would get a coming out. There had been backlash about the age gap between him and raven's actress that made that relationship get axed on the show. And the character had a lot moments with both connor and jason that made people think he was gonna come out and reveal an interest in either of them, or that when they introduced tim, that they'd get together. But then the show came out and ended and there was nothing to indicate gar was bi, leading people to conclude this must've been ryan coming out himself
