Jeff Thomas, Thiel's ex bf whom he had a relationship with while he's still married to his hubby has a thread here but it was locked after he committed suicide. I think there was an incident during a Christmas party that was thrown by Thiel's hubby, Jeff showed up uninvited and Matt, Thiel's hubby was extremely angry and asked Thiel what he was doing there, there was huge fight between Matt and Jeff. Long story short, Jeff was asked to leave the party in an embarrassing manner. Thiel already broke up with Jeff and kicked him out of the 10 million dollar penthouse he rented for him because Jeff was being cozy with the liberal press and Thiel, a conservative didn't like that. Months later, he turns up dead? I can see why there's a conspiracy theory regarding his death

There's a lot of backstory to this that was published in the Puck News article by Teddy Schleifer. Unfortunately it's paywalled, but here's the gist. During the midterms of 2022, Democratic operatives saw how much influence Thiel had and wanted to drive him out of politics. They hired David Brock (yes, THAT David Brock), and he and his team worked together with Ryan Grim journalist at the Intercept in a gutter oppo campaign against Thiel. The goal was to dig into Thiel's private life and collect any kind of dirt that was embarrassing enough to ruin his reputation, then deliver the info to Grim and Grim would publish an expose to drive Thiel out of politics for good. The oppo team was led by Jack Bury who worked for David Brock. They hunted down many of Thiel's boytoys and friends, but many did not cooperate. At one point, one of them even posted on their IG story about being approached by reporters, Thiel's friend saw it, screenshotted and forwarded it to Thiel lmao. Then around October 2022, Jeff Thomas was approached but kept putting off meetings with Bury because he was nervous to cooperate. He finally agreed when Bury lied to him about getting a multi million dollar book deal to get him to cooperate. Jeff Thomas then gave all the interviews which ended up in the Intercept article after his death. But at some point, Jeff ended up regretting speaking to the press, probably he realized they lied about the book deal. He started complaining to friends that he and Thiel were being bullied in a "shakedown", and was advised by family and friends (his family are all MAGA), not to cooperate with the Dems anymore. Apparently this whole situation gave Jeff so much anxiety that he was having nightmares. He then confessed to Thiel over dinner that he had spoken to the press, Thiel told him not to blame himself too much, and told him to move out of Thiel's LA mansion and back to Miami. This was the end of the affair but they still stayed in touch. UNTIL the New Years Party where Jeff showed up and pissed off Thiel's husband. It was after this that Jeff was cut off completely by Thiel and financially cut off as well. Fast forward a couple months, it's 8th March 2023, Jeff calls Thiel one final time to "ask for help". No one knows what Thiel replied. A few hours later, Jeff was found dead, and the Miami police has ruled it a suicide.

Yeah it's crazy. It's the reason Thiel backed off a little from politics after the 2022 midterms. But he wasn't spooked for long, because in 2024 he pushed JD Vance to be chosen as VP and won.

Yes I saw this as well, weirdly enough JD Vance attended one of his seminar and look at him now a VP to someone who he used to insult. These tech bros are evil and should have no business being involved in politics damn.

Damn, I didn't know the complete details. I thought musk was bad but Thiel is a complete monster and please, people with brains knows Jeff didn't off himself. He must've called him to blackmail him

"Gutter oppo" = treating Thiel the way he has treated others. He uses Palantir to get everyone's data. The stuff they dug up on Thiel isn't even half the story, there's (allegedly) much worse scandals he's hiding

That's what Jeff's stepmom thinks, that Jeff knew about Thiel's shady business and Thiel offed him. If you go on Jeff's Instagram you can find the stepmom in his comments sections saying she wants justice for him. Jeff's family seems to have split opinions on his death. His brother and stepdad (biological mom's new husband) say it was suicide and the stepdad says he has even talked to Peter Thiel a lot and has the full story. But Jeff's biological dad and stepmom think it was murder and suspect Thiel. The stepmom posts about it on Instagram. Unfortunately she is also MAGA and loves JD Vance. She doesn't realize that JD Vance is owned by Peter Thiel đź’€

Wow, even more insane info I found. Turns out Jeff was sexually assaulted by his close friend just a couple weeks before his death. This was after Peter had dumped him and financially cut him off. The guys in this groupchat are: Dmitry Likholay (Jeff's ex boyfriend) and Chris Farmer (friend of Thiel and Thiel's husband Matt, Chris was also at the New Years Eve party).

Wait? So Matt had no idea who he was? So Peter was cheating on him with a boytoy and Matt never filed for divorce? That would have been a huge payday
