Hey,

So nearly all my stitches are out on my frenulum snip and it's healed nearly fully now.

However, the scar is pretty much really evident. I've heard E45 cream is quite good but does anyone have any advice for scar removal on the penis?

Appreciate the help.

Patience is the #1 ingredient.
Pure vitamin E oil is said to help but never proven.
However, once scar has healed/closed, keeping it moist is said to help (this is how vitamin E oil might help as would many other scarreduction creams.

But basically, you have to give it time.

From what I read, during scar formation, you get a lot fo activity and collagen in the scar area so you have a lot of scar tissue. Once the scar has closed, there is a process of contraction that happens to reduce the scar's width (bringing the 2 edges of the cut closer together) and at same time, it appears some enzymes are generated to reduce the amout of collagen and this reduce the size of the scar. (not sure about the specifics but this is the gist of it). This happens over a period of months.

Thanks SirConcis,

Final stitches now fallen out (yay), and I note it is very tight and contracted.

Am using vaseline at the moment but will be moving onto E45 or try and find the Vit E oil you refer to.

Still scared to have an erection as the scar seems too tight; not flexible or elastic like the rest of my penile skin.

I agree with SirConcis that time will help more than anything else. Keeping the site clean and moisturised is important, but the scar is going to look a little angry for a while. That's totally normal, and it's been the case for me with the few scars I've got. Over a few months, they all started blending in to the background - small and large ones alike.

Best of luck!

Assuming the scar is healed enough massaging it helps some to break down the scar tissue. They also have silicone pads i think that you can wear over a scar that helps it from being so noticible...I'm nto sure how they work or if it is known...something to do with static electricity. The tightness will go away and the scar will definitely fade. It doesn't look like there was an sever scarring (like keloiding) so with time it will fade to being unnoticible.

Not qualified to recommend anything but I used vit E oil for 3 weeks then Mederma until the tube was empty. if you can buy it in the UK you can get it on ebay from the US.

Frenulums (frenula?) take a long time to really heal but if you are patient you will end up with a nice smooth bit where it was which is very sensitive. Have a look

You must abstain from masturbation for at least 6 months to ensure your scar heals nicely.

Just joking :)

But be aware of your frenulum remnants while you masturbate. You don't want to pull down to a poiint where the stretching hurts in any way. As time goes, you'll be able to be more and more forceful with masturbation. But initially, you need to be gentle.
