I've always wanted to see a really in depth interview with a SC or CF model where they explain their motivation. How they got into it, what was it like doing it and how they really feel about it afterward. I have seen a few interviews, but nothing really detailed. Anything out there like that I may have missed?
Editing does wonders, some of the greats could've hated every second of having to all that "gay shit" for money and you wouldn't know unless you followed them after they're done.

I don't know whether it's as in depth as you want, but have you seen the documentary I'm a Porn Star: Gay for Pay? It touches on a lot of what you're talking about and features Sean Cody's Curtis quite extensively.

That was interesting. The interview with Curtis was a little hard to listen to at times, but he was open about everything.
I've never seen this so thanks for sharing! A lot of confusion about how these straight guys do gay porn can be easily answered by just listening to the guys talk about their experiences.
It was interesting watching Curtis's segment and the behind-the-scenes at Sean Cody with Jason. His explanation of his sexuality as a straight man that enjoys sex with men sounds like he's bisexual but only has romantic relationships with women.
His insight into how he "flips" his mind when he goes out for shoots was intriguing. I found his explanation of how he gets into "character" for his bottoming scenes (watches straight porn but imagines himself in the female role) insightful.
I think a lot of folks might characterize him as a "confused straight guy," but he explained his approach to the work pretty well. It can be laborious work, but he uses a character he creates and the fact that he enjoys it physically to put on a good show. It was also nice seeing him and his wife interact, especially given how he described his relationship with the rest of his family.
Dean's segment reminds me of how while he's incredibly attractive he has the worst style. Why was he dressed like he was out of Peaky Blinders?

Dean, in general, was a bit of a disappointment for me. He's one of my favorite performers, and I foolishly thought he was genuinely into it. If I recall correctly, he was really dismissive of his work with Sean Cody, and talked about how little he enjoyed the sex.
sounds like he socially identifies as straight? but also fucks guys for cash and enjoys it but stronger than that is his need to be straight for societal expectations and/or for jesus?
And by looking at the trailer, you'll be disappointed. They paired him with some overacting OF model in which Robbie is topping.
He's a favorite of mine too. What are some of your favorite scenes of his?
For me, he has a fit body with no tattoos, his ass is amazing, and he has a beautiful dick that stays rock-hard while he's getting railed. What's not to love lol. That said, I do remember hearing he said fucking a guy was like fucking a watermelon (think it was in an MTV documentary).
The more scenes I've watched him in (and with the knowledge that he does not enjoy sex with men) it's easier to spot how much he's "putting on a show" for the cameras. SC's editing and Dean's body mostly make up for it though.
Another thing that stood out from the documentary is how the SC director found the obsession over gay4pay more interesting than the concept itself. I laughed a bit when he said sometimes the guys come to him and start talking about how the experience of shooting a scene is impacting their sexualities and he's like, "save it for someone else, we got work to do."
He never mentioned religion, but a lot of the guys talked about how growing up in a homophobic society impacted them. It sounded like he and a few of the other guys viewed a lack of romantic attraction to men as the reason they identified as straight.
A few of the guys in that documentary identify as something other than straight now. Maybe it's a sign of the times or just maturity.

Yeah, Dean was very theatrical in his scenes, so I suppose that should have been the tip off that it was all a show for him. Nevertheless, he was a great performer.
As for my favorite, the two that come to mind are his scene with Sean (I loved his bearded look), and his scene with Eddie. I just though he and Eddie matched each other's chemistry perfectly, and their asses just look so great in their scenes when they top each other. Great pairing.
