The camera work on the Archie/Jax scene was little short of horrific, pretty much the first part of the scene was focused on Jax's knee cap and Archie;s foot, with the occasional shot of Archie's penis bobbing in the background.

That explains a lot actually. I also thought it was curious that he whored out the Matthew Camp scenes for Men when time after time they had fake cumshots, which is something he'd usually drag them for.

Zach is a jackass. He is figuratively in bed with several studios, and routinely promotes them. He also is reflexively against anyone associated with Naked Sword, where he was the lead blogger until they sacked him. He doesn't allow criticism of him or his posts on Str8UpGayPorn. He routinely blocks posters who criticize him and deletes their posts.
Whether he's actually paid to promote specific scenes or not, he does get revenue from SC and other studios that have ad banners on his site.

Zach is the bottom of the barrel when it comes to journalism. Most of his "articles" are of the utterly inane: "Which mugshot of 'so and so' is the best?" variety. He's the Geraldo Rivera of the gay porn world.
He does lots of worthless rankings and trash-talking of gay porn models and studios. Apparently, nobody told him to just enjoy porn as it was intended to be enjoyed because he's made it his life's mission to take down and destroy anybody or anything he doesn't like. He has the thinnest skin of anybody on the planet and his followers are mostly insane. He's been known to threaten and shame people on a regular basis and encourages people to commit suicide (one of which actually did).
He's a Helix and SC fanboy and his blogs are filled with wild exaggerations and the occasional outright lie. I know he does a yearly ranking of the 50 models he claims are the most searched online. Not surprisingly, they're filled with Helix and SC models. He particularly likes Blake Mitchell and Ashton Summers, so it's not a surprise they were at the top of the list. Either he's lying his ass off or he's the one responsible for all those google searches for them.
The industry would be a lot better off if his gossip rag was taken off permanently.

His Tabloid style is pretty amateurish. He'll take a string of texts from some porn model and twist them into something with slanted descriptions that introduce and follow each text.
