I suspect this happens a lot. Look at Markie Moore: Left porn then promptly joined an anti-porn group. Now I guess he is back doing porn, cause, ya, going all cult/anti-porn doesn't pay the rent.
I disagree with Freud a lot, but reaction-formation, where you hate a part of yourself so much that you present the extreme opposite (e.g. Homophobic men who later come out of the closet.) to deny the part of yourself you are not at peace with.
There are quite a few former porn stars, gay and straight, that go super religious. The idea of being "saved" is very intoxicating for those that regret their past and don't want to reconcile it in a more healthy way.
It seems like there is a cache of former Corbin Fisher and Sean Cody models that are conservative and/or anti-gay.
