Here’s the deal, at least for me:

Are there influencers and famous people that are way worse than Sean? Of course. No doubt.

That doesn’t mean he doesn’t have some issues, as outlined by people above. He doesn’t actually engage with any actual criticism or real feedback in his real social media so I think that’s why it looks like there’s “so much” criticism here - it’s one of the only places he literally gets any. At all.

But but, you are missing out on the fun. You may miss the debate over if Sean is more like a reincarnation of Jack the Ripper or Joseph Stalin. He kills a mood like the former and misleads the public like the latter. /S

I think it is more how relentless and over the top it is at times. I agree with much of the basic criticism, but don't feel the need to keep bringing it up.
 
Today he posted that he spent all morning on set for something. That's what we like to see!

However directly after he posted two stories pimping some... toiletry bag that he said wasn't sponsored (eye roll emoji x 100). I looked up the bag and it's $135. lololololololololol
No thanks my $20 one is just fine.

I'm glad to see he was out working on set for something though. I wonder what it'll be.

Oh dear god can someone PLEASE explain to our dear dumb Sean that 'getting free stuff' IS being sponsered....

You get stuff... In exchange for promo... Thats an exchange of goods in return for labor. That's literally payment. Just not with money.

He really doesn't get it. I've DM'd it to him multiple times. He simply ignores it. He is pissing me off so bad

I feel like y'all just needlessly bag on him. Like genuinely, yes he is a vapid egotistical influencer but that doesn't mean you should criticize every little thing he does. Like he couldn't breathe without you guys being all "OMG of course he'd breathe right now!!! He's so self obsessed!!!!"

It's just too much.

And I think that's totally your right to say that and feel that way... but that's not really gonna stop us from doing it and disagreeing. No disrespect here - we just have different views on the guy.

The product placement pisses me off because he's doing the exact thing you're not supposed to and why you're clearly supposed to at least mark #ad on posts like his. It's so easy to fucking do and I'm surprised his management hasn't kicked his ass for it (which leads me to believe they don't watch his social media either).

Also, this is super shady but the last time Sean was "on set" he was a background extra in the Love Simon movie, so I wouldn't expect the level of stardom he got from Mamaboy.
