I have a mate who was circumcised at birth. However, by the time that he was an adult he had become annoyed and frustrated by an untidy flap of skin that had been left on the circumcision scar line. So he "tidied it up" by freezing the skin and excising it with a Stanley knife. Sounds horrific but he says that it healed very quickly and he didn't have any problems with it. :eek:
 
As these links say, it is better not to do it yourself but get a medical practitioner to use it on you. Of course, if you have phimosis, you cant insert the inner ring easily or at all, depending on the tightness of the foreskin.

I believe the links say you should NOT do it yourself and it's meant for medical practitioners. This would seem like common sense to me.

Why would you consider this? You have access to medical professionals who can do this for you if you really want it done.

Also, I think you are greatly exaggerating your ability to cut through your own flesh if you think it is going to be as simple as the infographic depicts. Cutting deep into tissue is extremely painful, and doing it to yourself is very difficult. In order to do this you would need to be on so many painkillers or so drunk that you wouldn't be able to do a good job.

If you want to get circumcised just go to a doctor, they seem happy to perform the procedure.

Yet they give directions with drawings for a step by step procedure.
And a link to a video on YouTube. Just what You guys need! Do it Yourself Doctoring!

After researching this, I believe this system was created to perform circumcisions in HIV-ridden areas of the world where there is not easy access to doctors or hospitals.

Or just don't get it done at all unless it's medically necessary....
