no you’re right and you should say it, they’ve continuously shipped the two and never took into consideration of connor’s actual life and sexuality to push it. having a dream and fantasy shouldn’t push into real life territory where you convince yourself of something being true when it isn’t.

The two is constantly conflated here. And hell, it makes it difficult for people who are actually looking for real gossip or tea. Some folks seem aware that they’re indulging fantasy, but with others it’s less obvious. It’s not just about assuming that you know someone is in the queer spectrum and you know someone’s dimensions and preferences as far as the gender, sexual, romantic, emotion, relationship, commitment spectrum. It also extends to the presumption of hetero-normalcy and to “straight” worship. As well as assuming you know people’s dick size and whether they’re “cut” or not. There are thin lines between fantasy, gossip, common sense and context clues and just trying to make folks what you want them to be.
“Straightness”, the closet, hetero dynamics are still widely used for sociological protection and for ego. “Coming out” or attaching to queerness is still used to create sensationalism or to try to boost dwindling interest or to cover up a lot of previous manipulation and messed up shit. There’s nothing wrong with acknowledging this stuff. Just like there’s nothing wrong with fantasy. The problem is when folks assume that they know every aspect of someone’s sexual dimensions and sexual journey, their struggles, where they are in the gender, sexual, affection, romantic, emotion, commitment spectrum. An issue is also when fantasy or gossip completely consumes how you look at others. Some of y’all are just cringe-y with your insistence that someone is “gay” or “straight” or with your corny scenarios or with a willingness to overlook a lot of fvcked up and problematic shit because you have a hard-on for someone.
