Hi Alex,
I will admit, Shawn has been triggered by being seen as gay and I feel for the giy, and I dont really know why these rumors stay with him. To me its just not that deep. My guy harry is always called gay but he has never made an issue about it. It goes with stardom, esp when guys dont fit stereotypes of masculinity.
To me being gay is cool so I see it as a compliment. Straight men are so boring.

Well it is degrading because the tone of most tweets about it are done with the clear intent of showcasing a dislike for him. It’s not like harry styles who’s sexuality speculation is done it a way that paints as a sexually fluid rockstar if that was the case I wouldn’t really care if people speculated about it, but with Shawn it’s primarily done in a mocking fashion and done by people who have the intent of insulting him. and it’s usually done by straight women or gay men with internalized homophobia because “ironic” homophobia has been so normalized online now and so many online gays have been poisoned by it on twitter that people are just being outright homophobic and painting it as just being ironic. People are calling a twink, bottom, or fag as terms of endearment they’re insulting him which is my primary grievance with it. It’s just another form of homophobia but this time with a target that people have deemed it’s ok to do it too and as a result you see a lot of straight women starting to say a lot more homophobic things online and hiding behind it’s just a joke

why would i hate gays or being gay? it’s not an issue if you’re open about your sexuality and not it being forced upon others with pathetic stereotypes. he’s been harassed about his sexuality since he was 17 and it only continues over a decade later. if you’re not seeing the issue that’s on you but it’s quite sad he can’t be himself without people pinning that on him, and as someone apart of the community you should know how it feels.
I want you to tell me a reason you think he likes men that doesn’t include a stereotype of him being feminine. Like a concrete reason that’s not just vibes. Maybe it’s because I’ve lived in a major city and guys like that are everywhere but everything about him screams pretentious artsy straight guy who thinks he’s a lot deeper than he is down to the photo of Brad Pitt on his phone and hanging out with hippies

He (and his people) know that they are making a video.
He (and his people) know that they will release that video to the public.
If he (and his people) don't like the public to speculate or to call him gay, then...

Why not just put on a regular shirt before filming?
He (and his team) have *purposefully* posted hundreds of photo-shoot images of him, and him with other dudes (not candid paparazzi pics) that are laced with homo-erotica...reminiscing of the old Abercrombie advertising campaigns, lol
