Simon Rex

The only thing that could be done is new scans of the pictures if the photographer still has negatives.

The video itself won't improve because the source material is just probably a tape. No way they'd be able to be transfer it to HD.
That's incorrect. Programs like Topaz video using the new starlight model could VASTLY improve the video. You'd be shocked at the results.

The content is from the mid 90s, so you won't be able to find them in HD.

AI upscaling is great, but you still need a pretty decent and clear image for the upscaling to not look awful.

I was able to find some of the videos in a pretty decent quality, though it's still SD (ripped from the DVDs):

Young, Hard & Solo 2.mp4

Young, Hard & Solo 3.mp4

I'm going to assume you haven't tried the Starlight model in Topaz yet. It's a gamechanger. Not perfect, but what it can do with low-res video is pretty stunning if you don't try to push too far. Remember, 720 is a thing. Everything doesn't have to go to 1080 or 4K.

Really wish could find out what happened to the photos taken..

One of my all time favourites
The photographer/porn studio probably has the originals if they bothered to preserve originals.

What @ChrisD24 said.

If you are "improving" you are altering the source material. That's not how you respect the creator.

Upscaling can sometimes alter the original quality and aesthetic of an image or video, which may conflict with the intent of preserving its authentic look.

However, it can also enhance visibility and detail, making it a nuanced topic in preservation efforts.

The picture recently posted of Simon by the pool is a good example - it does look interesting, but his eyelashes look like falsies. @patrickpenis even said "Eew, thats creepy." As you can see: it's not for everyone. I personally enjoyed seeing it but to me it's more like something made based on something else, and not the same piece in better quality.

I came so many times to that quick shot of him playing with his asshole

I absolutely love it. Finding nice gifs on here of his ass and balls. Made me think of when I first saw these vids years ago and played with my balls like that too.

I'll say it again. You haven't seen what Starlight can do.
