Sit or stand when Peeing

I pee sitting 90 percent of the time.. read messages on my phone/facebook

During the day stand. If I need to wake up to pee at night sit.
Couldn't be assed turning the light on.
I'm uncut so to aim in the dark is a bit to ask.
Can't miss if it's hanging in the bowl

I usually stand, except at night so I can avoid turning the light on. The lack of urinals as standard home bathroom equipment has always been a huge pet pee-ve of mine... My husband has aiming issues and sometimes I do as well, and having to use a regular toilet, which is not adapted to our anatomy and uses excessive amounts of water, is ridiculous. At my previous apartment, I just pissed in the sink, which was at ideal height. And yes, I kept everything spotless and odour-free!

I usually stand, but also acknowledge that there will always be splash-back out of the water on the rim and often beyond. It's inevitable, unless you kneel or are like 4'8", no matter how good or bad your aim is. Some people are more grossed out by this than others, but it still doesn't change the fact that toilets where men piss standing up, and anything immediately around them, have to be cleaned much more frequently, to minimize how much of it gets tracked around the house on the bottom of people's feet/shoes.

Fact: This micro-splash-back also happens when you flush - to everyone, regardless of standing or sitting. Yet, how many of us remember to close the lid before flushing? (I often forget, myself)

Fact: This micro-splash-back also gets absorbed by any rugs immediately on or around the toilet. If men piss in the toilet standing up, lose them - especially those U-shaped rugs designed to fit around a toilet. They are breeding grounds for bacteria. If the floor is too cold, wear slippers.
