Smoking

This just in:

Menthol Cigarettes are fucking NASTY, Especially Home Rolled ones.

/And Yes, sadly, I know I'm rolling Cigs. I wouldn't mind something a bit....stronger, if ya know what I mean, but...alas, I'm trying to find a jeorb, and they do drug test you.

I find that to be one of our country's biggest jokes (drug testing for pot).

They're essentially saying they'd rather you smoke cigs and have lungs blacker than charcoal or drink alcohol so your liver shuts down. As long as you're not a dirty, healthy dope smoker.

Dayum. $38 for a carton? Let me move in with you. I can cook, clean, and I don't bite.

/The only $30-40 cigs here are so cheap, and nasty, that they're not even worth it.

I was just thinking about you earlier and was wondering how you were and if you were still smoking. I used to buy most of my cigs duty free for about $28 a carton and still thought it was too expensive. (they were forty-five cents a pack when I started) Anyway I hope all is well. I was also thinking about how when I was a smoker I hated people telling I should quit so I'll be quiet. (But you have to want to quit and be ready to quit and that's how I did it)

My sister's thirty-year cigarette habit repaid her with a stroke two months ago. She was uninsured and my portion of her bill is currently running over $15k. Luckily we have a big family. Fuck smoking.

omg ...
and to think i once helped a guy look for a few butts / stogies, on a remote campsite once ... never again
im a non smoker also, but as yourself, ever the subtle / disguised hint ha

I kicked the habit once for 12 years, smoked for a year, quit again for a year, then smoked again for 6 years. Now I'm 4 years free of it again.

For me, it's clear that there is no such thing as "just a puff", or only having one at a party. If I have one toke, I'm off to the market to buy a pack of marlboro light.

That's why I didn't start. If I buy some chewing gum, the whole pack will be gone before I know it. With cigarettes, I'd probably be the same.

I don't try them cuz, well, I personally have always been turned off by smokers (up to this point), and I figure others will see me the same way. Also, I'm completely convinced I'll be one of those people who will be puking his guts out for 3 days afterward, and will forever have a greener sheen than before.

Also, my grandfather spent the last 5 years of his life on a respirator, confined to a bed, from 40 years of smoking. I can't for the life of me understand how three of his children continue to smoke to this day.

Ironically, I was watching old episodes of I Love Lucy yesterday and recall in almost every show someone lit up. I realize, of course, that one of their early sponsors was a tobacco company, but back then smoking was considered "glamorous" and "growm-up" for teens.

I started around age 14. Fortunately I quit (on my own) thirty years ago.

Do you have your shots up to date? :smokin:

So true when you are a smoker it just make you smoke more when someone tells you that you should stop and how bad it is for you. I as a smoker know all this but until the day comes that I choose to quit no harping will help. This is true for addiction.
