Smooth head

The head of my penis is kind of rough, with little bumps too,
almost like my tounge if it were dry. Does that make sense?
I am circumcised. There are definitely circumcised guys with smooth ones though, and also uncircumcised guys with rough ones.
It doesn't really have that much to do with it.
By the way, what's with all this anti-circumcision propganda?
It's not that big a deal. Many socialized health care systems around the world don't cover circumcision. I consider myself lucky to have been born by with midwives and to have had it done actually. It;s a matter of personal and social preference though.
Here, I have some aquantainces who recently had a baby. They are hippie types, and the father said he didn't want the baby to be circumcised. A few months later, I can tell you anyone who has ever seen a baby with a urinary tract infection will understand why a doctor "would do that to a baby" .
Theses are outragesly common in most countries around the world, and are not infrequently fatal in the poorer nations. They are almost unheard of in the USA were circumcision is routine.

Until I saw this thread I would have been of the view that rough v. smooth would pretty much have corresponded to soft or softish v. fully erect.
In other words the shininess is evidence that all the available space is full of blood and that the skin is at full stretch. But it seems that there are some men for whom this isn't the case.
I certainly get erections where I am not quite at full size (happens more frequently these days :frown1: ) and the wrinkles in the head skin show that. But I get the full on sort too. In fact if for some reason the erection is fiercer and bigger than usual I go beyond shiny and smooth to a state where various bumps start appearing as the skin gets over stretched, plus one or two abrasions showing "war wounds".

I am a midwife, a certified nurse midwife. The UTI had nothing to do with not being circumcised. I do NOT recommend circumcision.
UTI are common is the US as well. Diaper hygiene has much to do with it.
My husband and his brother (all of the males) are not circumcised and they've had no problems.
Moms need to understand how to care for the uncircumcised penis. You cleanse it, but you don't pull on the foreskin. Leave it alone, and teach the child proper hygiene.
You know, I am old enough to know about hippie types and hippie types would want things natural!

We know what God did when He had a son. Jesus was cut. If it's good enough for God's son, it's good enough for me. I'm cut and happy with it. I was cut loosely and still have my frenulum. I've never had any problems with it--don't have skin bridges, don't have any deformities, and have plenty of sensation. I also have no memories of having it done.

Baby girls have far more UTIs than baby boys, but of course, and rightly so, it's not used as an excuse to "trim a way some of the excess".
It's amazing the excuses people will come up with to justify circumcision.

It is wrong. Just outright wrong. I can't express how strongly I feel.
There is no medical reason in this world for infant circumcision.
What any man does when he is an adult is fine with me. It surely is none of my business.
Let's stop making this choice for male children. Let them make the choice themselves when they are of age.
