Something x about Berlin?

So I have never been to Berlin or know anything about it. When talking to some mates and Berlin came up they would always say "trip to Berlin, know what he's getting up to". I guess it was a sex thing but unsure. So I guess I am asking is what is the secret about Berlin that I am missing?

There was talk about a guy who we all think is curious. He went on a trip to Berlin. Said he had a good time. He went to event end of last September at Kater. While we don't think it was a gay event it might have had a vibe. As I said he said he enjoyed Berlin (not necessarily for sex) but never went into more about that event. Other mates all seem to pull a look but I'm unsure what is going on. Can anyone fill me in?

Berlin is the most sex positive place I've ever visited. There are lots of clubs and bars where sex happens and it's just a part of the night. Places like KitKat club are legitimate clubs where you go to dance with friends but there is also a section with beds in it where people will be fucking. No one stares, no one tries to join you - it's just treated as a part of life.

There also many specific cruise bars and sex clubs where it feels like a giant orgy (Laboratory, Engine etc) and they have the best gay sauna in the world (in my opinion) in Das Boiler.
