Sore Testicle

So to head off a lot of inevitable comments -- I'm obviously going to the doctor about this. At the same time, I have high anxiety for obvious reasons, so I want a sense of whether the anxiety is warranted (I'm the type that knowing I'm likely to lose a nut would make me feel better than having a sense it might happen).

So anyway, over the past month I've noticed my left testicle gets sore or tender from time to time. Sort of like I've been kicked in the nuts, but way way milder. Probably not even enough to make me wince, just soreness. At the same time, I've noticed my ejaculate has dropped off quite a bit.

So, any ideas? Things to brace myself for?

Probably nothing to brace yourself for... sounds like at worst you might have a mild inflammation or a low grade infection... as long as you don't feel any lumps ON the testicle, you should be ok.

Doesn't sound like anything too major. Torsion would give you very severe and more constant pain. Could probably be something like epididymitis and be cleared up with some antibiotic.

They may to an ultrasound to check things. Don't sweat it, they'll get you sorted.

I'm with Namwera. Needs medical evaluation! Balls are supposed to hang, and swing, and not hurt. No need to freak out. Your doctor has heard everything, and almost certainly seen even more first hand.

I remember I had epididymitis with a lot of the same symptoms. Treated with antibiotics and isn’t a big deal.

Sometimes one or both can twist causing discomfort and other times severe pain.
That's a possibility.
Good luck either way. Pain there is no fun.
