as a high school swimmer I can say its all about comfort. If your looking for more room buy your size. If you want a tighter fit with less drag buy one size smaller.

Thanks for all the input. I ended up going with Nike in my true size and they work fine. But like some have said, once in the water the do tend to stretch a little. I may go one size down on my next pair.

Go into a store and try some on, size will vary by brand so try on a few brands and just write down the sizes.
