Wow, good call. Poor Steele had to run off and get married just so the gay wouldn’t rub off on him.
There also seems to be quite a few out/ glass closet divers that are upcoming and starting to hit collegiate level (can’t list names here due to age restrictions, but they are easy to find and affiliated with Steele and his school or training center).
(I wonder if this is in some way the Tom Daley effect of seeing an Olympic level out athlete enjoy success and recognition in the sport thereby inspiring others?)

I was kind of pissed when you got married as I just assumed he was gay(not really fair of me) and immediately stopped following him.Very weird. I mean don't most vloggers with significant others do collabs with them and mention them?
The diving world is interesting. Seemingly just about all of them are gay (you can't tell me otherwise). But the conservative and religious background has most of them marrying women.
They did a couple of things early on, but not much since. It's clear he likes the asthetic of being a couple (cutesy hipster poses at the beach or on a mountain), but otherwise they just describe each other as best friends who both help know God better through one another, yada... not exactly the kind of sexual energy that you might expect from an elite athlete and a couple in their 20s.I didn't know any of this

I clearly don't know much about the sort of reserved/repressed hyper-religious mid-western type of thing they've got going on, but to go from never been kissed to married at 20 (in less than a year) to someone 5 years older before even experiencing life is so radically confusing to me.
And I hate to go straight away to the notion that it's a marriage of convenience to bury the gay thoughts, but the poor dude pinged so hard with his love of Troye and other gay YouTubers, open mancrush on Bieber, no dating history, flirty interaction with his friends (especially the gay ones like Max and Tom Daley).. I feel bad if he was hounded about his sexuality all those years and he is actually straight and just a bit fem (or prude). But, man it's too bad he didn't experience a bit more of life and heck, kiss more than one person before making a lifelong commitment.
Sure, I suppose lots of 23yo dudes watch the Bachelorette with their wives and get so into it to want and tweet about it...

Please explain. LOL It seems Steele is even more gay than I remembered. I don't know any straight guys who are into so much gay stuff as Steele and I do remember him saying he was pressured by his parents to start dating. As for Tom, he’s been in a bunch of his vlogs through the years...they are around the same age and have seen each other lots of times at various events... Steele is probably where Tom got the inspiration to vlog. Maybe flirty is strong of a word, definitely playful though.
