Hi guys!

Would you consider being sterilized?
Or are you sterilized?

Since a couple of years my wife dont use birthcontrol anymore.
We use condoms but it feels much better for both without using it.
I (we) dont want to have more kids.

What do you think about it?

Ive heard the amount of cum would be the same, only no spermcels...

Stud, I think they are the same and that link will answer many questions!! I did it at that age because I knew I did not want any children and had a girlfriend at the time that was not on the pill !!

I had a vasectomy (sterilized) several years ago. It was not too painful. Gravity is not your friend afterward and I wore a jock strap for about a week to prevent pain (much better ball support than compression shorts or briefs). After about 6 weeks and two confirmed semen samples with no sperm I could go bareback with my wife and not worry about pregnancy. If you're sure you don't want any more kids, I'd highly recommend doing it.

I wouldn't. This issue actually recently came up, as my wife just had a tubal ligation. During consultation her Dr made it a point for her to encourage me to get a vasectomy instead, citing its less invasive nature, etc...
I had to give it a hard pass, 1st because I have a bad track record with non necessary medical procedures in general, 2nd because this country(the US) has a weird history(propensity really) with the fertility of the black man, and 3rd, frankly given the way we live our lives, our relative healths and habits, I'm much more likely to outlive her and be faced with not being able to procreate with a future woman. Besides, my pull out game(yes I know, officially not the greatest form of birth control) has literally never failed me..lol

Sterilize is the English word for boiling or streaming an object until all surface germs, bacteria, viruses, etc. are destroyed. :)

Men generally get vasectomies. Women undergo tubal ligation (have their "tubes tied").

A vasectomy is one method of sterilization for a male (the other medical alternatives are not very attractive).

If you plan on staying committed to your relationship to your wife, you and her should both look at your options. If you opt to change your mind later successful vasectomy reversal from what I understand is hit or miss.

I had a vasectomy at age 29, wore a suspensory device for about 2 weeks which keep the gonads supported and let the penis loose. I really had no pain. I also got a circumcision at the same time. About 1 1/2 weeks later I masturbated without any issue. I went back to physician and they ask for a semen sample and handed me a test vial and left me alone. They called me at home 2 days later to let me know it was ok for sex without fear of pregnancy. There has not be any issue of any kind with the vasectomy and it has been many years. I would recommend it to any man rather than any other method of birth control. Double two decades experience

I have no fear of getting pregnant because i'm a man

Thnx guys!

Me and my wife are 18yrs together and have two kids. We have a very good relation and sexlife and we dont want to have more kids.

Her body reacts negative on birth control and using a condom isnt our thing. Sometimes we want to do a quicky spontanious, but cant without a condom.

Vasectomy is a option i am thinking about.
My friends are sceptical and say it is against nature and not masculine.
I dont care. I am more masculine then them ;).

I like to hear more of your experiences.

Much thnx (again).

Getting a vasectomy of Tubal ligation has nothing to do with masculinity or femininity. If you are sure that you don't want anymore children they are perfectly acceptable options

You do include your wife in the consultation with your Physician when you and your Physician discuss vasectomy I hope. If not please include her in your appointments so she understands everything and not just a discussion between the two of you after the consultation with the Physician.

I had the skeptical feelings myself at age 29, but they pass. Your friends well, you can think about it and laugh when you and your wife are have great sex with out the use of a condom and any fear of pregnancy. Life is great. It will be yourself and your wife's decision and that is all that really matters in making the decision.

I think some guys equate being able to impregnate women as "masculine." It's irresponsible unless you take responsibility for raising the child with the mother.

As far as performance, how you look, and what your orgasm looks like, you'll never know the difference (without a microscope to look for sperm). I'd say your masculinity is pretty safe!

I'd agree that the decision should be made with your wife. Once you have it done reversal isn't guaranteed. It's a lot safer for a man to undergo this than a woman to have her tubes tied. I was wide awake, it took about 10 minutes, and my doctor was cracking jokes to ease the tension.
