I remember when everyone made a fuss about Brandon Routh's bulge (which turned out to be much ado about nothing) when he played Superman a few years back.

Well, I just stumbled across this pic of John Haymes Newton who played Superboy back in 1988. Now that's a bulge.

Yep, sexy Johnny had a huge ass bulge, and so did Gerard Christopher, the actor who took of the role of Superboy when John left the series. They both rivaled Christopher Reeve in the bulge dept., and we all know how Chris was hangin'...

I have the show on DVD. Oddly, I've never even watched it! Was a gift from a friend. Guess I'll have something to do when TV sucks.
