I agree that creating a similar thread for 9" isn't a great idea. The purpose was to find a 10" or more penis, if there is a thread for a smaller length, even if it had a smaller prize then I think that reduces the chance than a 10" or more penis will ever be found on this thread.
I think it makes more sense to let this thread ride. Of course there will be people submitting pictures that are shopped or not measured correctly. If anyone is bored of the thread then I think there are plenty of us here who are happy to call out those pics that fail to make the grade. Saying that its over now will only bring out more people who are faking and who will then complain that they didn't get a chance in the past 1+ year to submit their pic.

Figuring out liquid displacement of something attached to the body is tough to do accurately, and most people aren't going to have the equipment necessary to do it. Also, I'm not sure how they could prove the results in picture form, a picture of a graduated cylinder with a penis in it, and then one without to see the difference in the water level. There is a very easy way to fake the results. It would require a video and even then it would be sloppy, easy to cheat and hard to confirm how much cheating was done. Length and width plugged in to a calculator isn't fair, penis shape is too varied and those calculators are not able to be accurate, they usually have a formula based on a cylinder, which cannot reflect the actual volume for the variety of penis shapes that exist.

I also want the 10" thread to keep going. Its a mythical size that was used very lightly by many people and it needs to keep getting debunked. Remember even the biggest pornstars declined this challenge. IMO, TP money is safe as far as this contest go. If a guy ever shows up with a legit 10incher he would deserve the money, because its a legend.
As for the penis volume contest, the idea is to actually find a winner, to keep things moving. The prize should be obviously smaller. And for the method, nothing so complex... I meant mid-shaft cincunference with soft tape, lenght with a ruler on top(same as here) and throw in the formula. Sure, penises vary in shape, etc, thats where we come in and make the scrutiny, case by case.
I predict an unmanageable can of worms with this. Mid-shaft girth is an undefined term, so you'll have guys measuring at 1/3rd or 1/4th down their shaft and arguing that it's "mid-shaft". Then the issue of measuring with a tape that's inevitably 50% hidden from a camera lens...easy cheating. Forget about anyone submitting a video with a camera rotated around the penis...nobody can hold a tape correctly and then manipulate a camera that way solo.TP and I were talking about a possible new contest, with a different prize surely. I was thinking about a more simplified method: measure the mid-shaft girth + lenght with a ruler and throw in those penis calculator sites to see the volume. Nothing so scientific. The measurements would have to be proven legit though...
Since there is no numbered goal to reach, there would be plenty of stuff to analyze and find the biggest one possible. We would just need to estipulate a final date of entry (one year?).

The real problem with a volume thread is that no matter how you do it the measurements are more complicated. The people making claims of 10 inches here can't manage the simple guidelines for measuring that have been repeated on nearly every page of this thread. Expecting anyone to handle a more complicate measuring process isn't going to lead to good results.

I've seen several people on this this thread make claims indicating that they might be as much as an inch longer than normal if they are "really turned on" (I'm not claiming that is what HungFellow said). I suppose I don't know exactly how all penises function, but I know when mine is hard its hard, and the difference between being hard and really hard is just more rigidity of the penis, maybe very slightly thicker, but never a change in length.
Well, at least one (mine) was bigger (longer) at least once (the time I measured during sex), so it's possible that this is a variation. We all are different, so some guys may not vary.
Having said this, I don't go by that one-time measurement as my size. In all other times I've measured, there's little if any variation, which can just as easily be attributed to measuring technique as to any other variable.
