The corner of JGV: HNK Channel and other studios

I don't understand why that video is called "Driving School." Am I missing something?
I'm not too sure but the Japanese title is "ノンケGV教習所". The word 教習 is training, so if you try to put it into context, it's like a gay video (GV) training institute for straight men (ノンケ), right? But I think 教習所 is frequently used in the context of schools that provide driving lessons.

Perhaps people who speak Japanese can help since my help comes from Google and dictionaries.

03/10/2025 Today's notable releases at HUNK-Ch..

LPSG POST CAN NOW ONLY ATTACH 5 PICS/POST??? FROM 10 to 5?? THE DOWNGRADE!! 😒😤🙄

The official release of Straight GV Driving School. Last week we had the one of Yoshikawa Shuma (吉川秋真) as the early release, so now we have the rest.

First we have Satake Osuke (佐竹旺介) with Kazushi (かずし) in "2nd Period: Adult Toy Lesson":
Yeah, it's Uncle K again 😅. Luckily I'm not into Osuke, so..

And then we have Mita Katsuki (三田克希) & Mukai Reo (向井玲央) in "4th Period: 20-Ways of Men Sex":
It's a flip flop fuck~

Last but not least, Kusunoki Akiya (楠木暁也)
& Ryuta (竜太) a.k.a. Baki No. 2 (バキ2号) in "1st Period: Erogenous Zone & Voyeurism Lesson":
The most awaited one obviously. LOL. There's room for improvement, but Akiya's getting better here~

Thoughts? 🤭

I think you're right. I asked ChatGPT and it said that ノンケGV教習所 roughly translates to Straight Guy GV Training School.
  • ノンケ (nonke) — slang for a heterosexual/straight man.
  • GV — shorthand for “gay video” (adult genre).
  • 教習所 (kyōshūjo) — a driving school or training school.
As far as I know, GAMES never have any official English titles, and I believe @BellatrixPatricia57 and I usually refer to the automatic Google-translated title on Chrome when mentioning their videos here—hence "Straight GV Driving School". 😅🤣

Well, in a way, it's still apt since they're trying to 'drive' these straight models gay, no? LMAO.

Don't we all wanna ride & drive these men? 😎 LOL.
On a serious note, yes. We here tend to resort to Google auto-translation for mere efficiencies 😅. I'm not native Japanese myself obviously. I may read hiragana, katakana, but have an abysmal knowledge of kanji & a super basic level of the language (N5 of JLPT) just for my current profession. It's best to rely on the actual Japanese residents or those who are versed in the language for a more accurate translations/context (like our Grand High Wizard @SyncroPC 🧙‍♂️ usually, LOL).

I believe that this is all over like the Househusband series. It sounds more appropiate to translate it as husband, rather than wife. Or even Straight Limit Interview, where it technically makes much more sense for the series to be translated to something more of Straight Extreme Interview, rather than a "literal" translation. But a lot of people are so used to the Limit one, that's why we stick with it, LOL. If everyone's in agreement that we change it to Straight GV Institute/Training School then I'll gladly accomodate, LOL. After all, I'm just here to update HUNK-Ch stuffs, most of the time~

Yeah, 教習所 per se only means "training institute" or such, but since its most common use is by far driving schools (自動車教習所) and some people do refer to them by just 教習所, devoid of context it would probably be the best translation and it wouldn't surprise me if Google translate or other tools are giving "driving school" as an answer.

That being said, here we do have context.
The full name is ノンケGV教習所, so a faithful literal Translation would be "institute for training straight men into gay porn".

I thought for a while, and if I was to label a product I would probably go with something like "Gay-for-pay Training Institute"

It's by no means literal, but it sorta retains all the information of the original title referring to the fact they are supposed to be straight men, leans into established English gay lingo, and still retains some sort of "title sounding semantics".

Or I would just give up part of the info and go for a simpler "Gay Porn Training School" or such.
A tongue-in-cheek reference to Conversion Therapy could also work in the title, I believe.
