The Nap

Yes. Daily siesta. I frequently do first and second sleep at night as well. There's very good evidence that our species did not evolve naturally with the regimented sleep/wake schedule we're expected to follow. Or three meals a day.

Working from home over this past year has given me the freedom to take a nice 30 minute nap around 2p every day. That 30 minutes really super charges me and lets me finish my work day attentive and alert. Highly recommend napping to everyone! Its not just for kids under the age of 3 anymore.

No, I've never been able to nap just for the hell of it; the only exceptions being when I was either sick, knew I'd have to stay up really late that night like when we went to swing clubs or parties or when I worked the third shift, which technically would be called "sleeping on the job" rather than a nap :D.

I prefer to stay up all day so as to not interfere with sleeping that night and never really have an issue with being tired enough not to be able to do so even the times when I got little sleep the night before.

Yes, I am a big fan. You should listen to your body when it tells you it is tired.

Very wise words. Worst thing you can do is struggle to stay awake when your body is speaking otherwise.

Of course some days we have things to do, but I always feel better when I take every possible opportunity to nap.

Eat, sleep, grow

I'm a big fan since the first lockdown and I love it. I'm pretty much a fucking cat at this rate

I'm not a fan of them. I won't ever nap unless I've done something to screw up my normal sleep schedule. At least for me, naps might stave off tiredness for a short time but I don't believe they're beneficial, and just further mess up my sleep cycle :(

I'm a fan of 7-8 hrs of quality, uninterrupted sleep. If you're healthy, eating right and getting proper sleep you shouldn't be nodding off during the day. Sure everyone is different and maybe your body works better with napping, but I think that if you find yourself needing a nap every day you should try improving the quality and regularity of your sleep first ;)

Since covid started and I have been working from home, I’ve started taking naps over lunch. Although I feel a little groggy for a half our after, it really helps me stay focused for the last portion of my day. This is especially true now that I have been forced to work longer hours....

I agree in general. Ive always been nocturnal by nature though. Just like being awake at night, I feel stronger. I Think I trace it back to my folks always arguing when i was young so night-time became peaceful time to be awake for me ? Then obviously as the internet porn, forums, tube sites etc became a thing so i think it just carried over as a habit.... Plus I'm always just hornier at night lol
