A second season is still up in the air. HBO hasn't said anything definitive one way or the other. Steven Moffat, the show writer, has said that he hopes there will be a second season and they are negotiating with HBO about it. However, critics didn't seem to care for it (only 37% of critics on Rotten Tomatoes gave it a positive rating, and it scored only 44 out of 100 on Mediacritic), so unless HBO is pleased with audience response, despite critics' disinterest, I wouldn't hold my breath on a second season.

I think the idea and concept was good starting out it looked like a good series ... a refreshing change from the usual vampire / witchcraft / sci-fi teenage shit we get so much of now....
but then to hear its follwing the story of a book (i didnt know there was a book) and that the book just gets more depressing .....probably not worth it .

But If they want to do a season 2 or even 3 or more, Theo will need to show his penis to attract the viewers. That weird for that kind of role that Theo never shown his penis, epecially when his character is naked all the time and if he said that he is good with that.

Make you believe what? The character is American, you want them to go out of the trouble of making people believe that a frontal for a few seconds is Theo's? It ain't about him.
They were'nt concerned with frontals, if they were then it would've been that way throughout the series.
Yeah, according to the article I just read, season one only covered about a third of the book, which is why they were hoping to get another season or two out of it. But I know it was panned by the critics, and I guess it never really got great enough ratings. I just hope they don’t blame the tepid response on the male nudity.
