I'll shamelessly and cow-like burp up some old news to ruminate here.
As I have already said long ago, March 6th I've had my check flight to gain my ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License). Fortunately, I hadn't seen the following news footage before, it didn't get to my attention until recently.
YouTube - Lufthansa Airbus wingstrike at Hamburg
This is a renowned magazine's article on it:
Horror Landing: Jet Nearly Crashes at Hamburg Airport - International - SPIEGEL ONLINE - News
And this is the funny bit about it. Unfortunately I couldn't find an original publication on it.
Dare anybody say anything about women and parking problems! Or let's say, I did a lot better!

Airplaneblog.com said:The funny thing is that, according to a source coming from the German Federal Office of Accidents Investigation (BFU in German), it was not Oliver A. who was landing the airplane; it was his copilot, a 24-year-old woman known as Maxi J. The fact that Maxi was a novice pilot made critics built even more upon the pilot Oliver A. How was it possible that he had allowed a novice pilot to land a passenger loaded airplane in the worst weather possible?
