I am absolutely certain that I am not the only one who is totally turned off by smoking. However, I realize that not everyone is. In fact, a few people might find that smoking adds to attraction. However, you are projecting. From your comment, it seems that you think that no one would find smoking unattractive. It would be interesting to know why you are so defensive.

It's not even being defensive, it's just we're all looking at him, seeing this hot, hung, hunk of manmeat, and it's like you come in here, pissing in our punchbowl, saying "Eww! He's Gross, He SMOKES!"

I just found it unnecessary, and a buzzkill. That's all. Didn't help that I'd had a few "Adult" beverages, as well.

I'm not, that's his choice. At least he's healthy and beautiful. Anyone who has a chance in hell at being with a man like that should look past a small character flaw. I don't pick friends with terms like do you smoke.

His health and good appearance will be of considerably shorter duration because of his smoking. I hope that he at least has the courtesy and decency not to force others to breathe smoke.

While smoking was still socially acceptable, much of my life revolved around avoiding smoke because of my extreme sensitivity to it. The need to avoid smoke considerably limited where I could go and what I could do. Having to travel by air or inter-city bus was a nightmare; it was sheer torture. Those of us who objected to being forced to breathe smoke were considered rude. So considering the problems that second-hand smoke caused me, surely it's understandable that my attitude towards smoking is exceedingly negative.
