I don't understand why people mark videos as private so they can only be viewed by "friends" on a supposedly video sharing site.
Do they get a bonus for the number of "friends" they have?
Why restrict access to a video they have obviously found somewhere on another site?

This is a complete outfield ball park guess, If they feel they have videos that are really spicy/good/probably something very kinky/strange/if it wasn't on tape/recorded nobody would believe it etc. they feel only people/profiles that have similar/likewise content should be allowed to see that. In a way they video trade "Okay since you have spicy videos too, okay you can see mine". It's bullshit but yeah.
