Thoughts about countries that execute LGTB+

Here from South Africa. No there's no homophic, anti LGBT, ETC... heck there isn't even "tension" we have regular gay pride events, alot of people are out the closet, alot of gay parties and clubs, so no being gay doesn't suck, and no we are not targeted everyone just carries on with life
That is simply not true.

You could argue the show was fake/fabricated, but no.

But no I'm not South African, I am Black American, but I was watching a talk show/open forum news program about "Gay in Africa". In it, you had both politicians, and gay people from all different African nations, (Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Cameroon, Sudan, and South Africa). When it came to the subject of South Africa, two Lesbian women were saying how they feel liberated in South Africa, yet some South African politicians were saying it's "Unafrican" to be gay, and there is still a lot of cultural homophobia in South Africa.

I mean for debate and arguments sake, is South Africa miles better than other places in Africa, sure, but it's not perfect, and yeah. Africa in a whole, gay is a touchy subject.

They named them batty boys. You only name what you love. They like it(gay sex) too.
Not really, the idea of people, especially those of African descent, projecting their inner shame as outward homophobia, is a comforting narrative that wholly ignores the cultural reconciliation and inclusion of LGBT+ amongst indigenous populations, and the shocking amount of sexual abuse Europe utilized in its campaign for world colonization(look up "buck breaking" and then ask yourself why black men and women alike, whom are affected by the legacy of slavery and colonization might be especially averse to homosexuality , especially amongst men.) Also in a place like Jamaica where the average man may struggle to be socioeconomically attractive, leaning into other aspects of hyper masculinity, including open aversion and hostility towards the "less manly" is par for the course. Typically in populations where average men are afforded plenty of mating and dating opportunities, do you see less homophobia or other more toxic male behaviors.

Arabs weren’t European slaves but as are homophobic.

I think homophobia has many different sources and expression...and given how homosexuality is practiced in much of the Middle East and Arab world a lot of their homophobia has more to do with societal image.
If you listen or watch interviews from soldiers that have fought in those regions you might get a very different perspective as to the depths of hypocrisy a lot of these cultures operate within, at least by Western logic.

And countries are sovereign.
There is a limit to how other countries impose their laws on others. Is this done by the UN, or do Califnornains from spoilt bubbles think everything is so formulaic and simple?
I had no idea saying “gay people deserve to live” was such a liberal California notion. It’s interesting that you were so alarmed by what I said that you looked at my profile to see where I live.

I can’t imagine being so supportive of killing people that I’d do research so my little online jab is contextual.

Instead of killing people because of sexual preference .. maybe should move them to another country that does allow it and then not have to worry about about them anymore ..

It’s sad that these people think their lives are better because they aren’t gay that they think best way to deal with them is to kill them..

I guess a person can kill someone and when asked why.. they can say he was a homosexual .. and that be the end of it ..

That be like someone killing someone for being ignorant.. and it be ok ..

Murder shouldn’t be allowed for any reason..

What actual evidence is there of Buck-breaking? Are there contemporary documents, accounts, artifacts?

People may feign being gay to get out of these countries. It would also incentivize being witnessed doing these things. I believe these are two reasons countries would avoid this resolution.

I then think.. if gay community is being attacked then they should attack back ..

Prove that one’s sexual preference isn’t better than another ..

Killing for any reason is wrong.. but some countries just know violence so then they justify violence for their own pleasure

Probably more than I could ever provide...but I look at the hyper masculine expectations and rampant homophobia and homoerotic aversion that occurs in ADOS cultures, specifically the feminine response in context to non enslaved, or non colonized peoples.
From a psychological perspective it actually makes horrifying sense, in how to separate the core unit of prosperity in African culture, the family..killing or abusing the women would make the men rise up, simply killing the men made them martyrs, but to sexually destroy them in front of the women, did more than genocide ever could to the Black community, and hundreds of years later much like they probably counted on, because they didn't document it as readily and widely as they did their other social engineering, they could count on someone chipping in questioning if they ever actually did what they did.

Saying ‘it makes sense’ is not the same as having historical records and artifacts that prove buck breaking to be a real thing as a common and institutional practice.

It would make sense if every enslaved woman in Jamaica was forced to shave their head in order to shame them. But you should retroactively make a claim that such was definitely the rule without any evidence, accounts, artifacts…

It’s kind of sad when people think this is ok and normal to kill someone over sexual preference .. but then some people especially in the USA agrees and wished happened here but it’s ok we have murderers on streets and in prison and don’t do nothing about that issue

I am gay and glad live in area that doesn’t kill for stupid reasons.. these people tend to forget ultimate sin is killing/murdering someone
