I read somewhere that he had taken viagra and maybe something else and filmed a scene then went for a swim, had a heart attack in the pool, then drown. Although that’s not really a “domestic accident” as such. They’re being deliberately subversive about the whole thing

Well, that's my point. Why the shame? Why the stigma? I heard of families of actors from certain sites like Corbin Fisher demanding that the material be deleted, and that's quite insulting.
If those porn actors were mainstream/traditional actors, they'd never demand the films be deleted. It's basically being ashamed of adult work, of the career choice or hobby of their loved one (they may not like adult work, but they should still respect the freedom of others). Has their loved one expressed the desire that their work be scrubbed from the Internet after they passed? If I owned a studio, I'd refuse such a request, and I'd fight them in court if they took me to court.
That said, we do not need to worry about this in regard to Tim Kruger. His partner Grobes intends to keep Timtales afloat for as long as possible, and the website is still being updated.

Unless the performer specified that they want all of their material scrubbed from the net after they pass and that was in their contracts, it should all be left online, and it is okay to still post and share it in any appropriate place!

All this to say that I highly doubt that those stars made that kind of money due to two or three horny fans alone! Evidently, there's an immense clientele for that, and those are people that live in society, incl. doctors, bankers, lawyers, businessmen, authority figures, and even pastors and priests! According to a study, a large, impressive percentage of pastors secretly watch porn, a medium that their religion usually condemns as being filthy, very sinful, and a pathway to the demonic.
Heck, I remember that cover story that was published decades ago in Montreal, Quebec. Something about a Roman Catholic priest who had a heart attack and died while a female stripper was giving him a private lap dance. The circumstances of his death were only revealed after his funeral, and it became a Journal de Montréal cover story. According to the Roman Catholic Church, such entertainment is mortally sinful, and I'm sure that many pilgrims had confessed such "sins" to that same priest.
