Ohh sweety, it's not good to keep things inside of you. Btw, Tom already has bronze in olympics. He clearly stated that he only wants gold. A lot of pressure especially for Matthew with his first olympics not to disappoint tommy. But other divers are sooo strong(er), especially Chinese divers. Maybe they can prove me wrong. We shall see.
There's a difference between telling the truth/"not keeping things inside you" (*giggle*) and needlessly being a dick by creating anxiety in others. There was no need for you to say that to him other than to be a dick, I'm not surprised he blocked you.
But it's a fact, Matthew knows very well that Chinese and Russian teams are stronger. It's not an insult, i didn't insult him, i just stated my predictions who will be on the podium for Olympics and the facts about who are the trongest teams. That was not the reason to block me whatsoever. He needs to have thicker skin. Jesus, it's so childish to block someone because he stated obvious or said prediction for Oly. He needs to be mentally strong.
Whether or not it's a "fact" has no bearing on the matter. He may be fully aware the other teams are stronger but trying to keep positive by keeping that "fact" as far away from his conscious mind as possible because that "fact" may lead to doubt and cause anxiety. The truth isn't always helpful especially in competitive sports where your attitude has a huge impact on your performance. Also, it's not up to you to decide who can be upset by your words, if you've pissed someone off with what you've said then it's entirely your fault for not considering the connotations and consequences of those words. If the offense was unintended then apologise and learn how your words could hurt someone, otherwise take responsibility and ownership of what you said, and stop blaming others for recognising the dickish nature of what you say.
